people come with big expectation... it will be big, it will be wide and will be something to look for.. but it is nothing like one imagines. It is like one ordinary wall just that is has a famous history to it. their are bit n pieces around Berlin the best kept one is the east side gallery easily accessible by metro(tube/ underground)

Thank najnar

Wonderfully done murals painted on this large section of THE wall. One small section is still double wall with "killing zone inbetween". Take your time and take plenty of pics, remember above all what has happened here and have respect. Be sure to remember that some sections have painting both on the street side and the river side so be sure to look around properly.

The section showing other countries where they are using walls is especially touching and a great reminder that as Churchill once said "If there's one thing that history teaches us, it's that history teaches us nothing"

Follow the east side gallery wall to the African/Jamaican beach at the very end. For 3 euros you can sit in the sand , listen to reggae and play football! Perfect end to a busy day tramping about. However you better be quick as the developers are going to erase this whole area , take the wall down and the beach bar replacing with more horrific faceless flats and buildings.

Very nice memorial to the wall. A must see when in Berlin. Pretty long but can catch the tram on both ends of the wall.

It was included in our day tour and we found it was interesting to visit there. Every artist has different things to say. It is nice to take a walk along the wall and view the works.
