“wow!”

I was there during the protest for the demolition of a part of the wall, please bring it as it is! It's a very important piece of XX century history!

“Catch it before its gone”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Previously visited here in 2011 and was surprised to see that so much of the artists work had been covered over with general graffiti.
Unfortunately the weather was very cold and we did not walk the full length.
There are still some great pieces of thought provoking art to be viewed and you get a better feeling for it doing the walk rather than looking at photographs in a book or online.
It is definitely worth a visit especially as developers are talking about removing the wall to build apartments.

“Come and see”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Come and see this place before its gone! Well, maybe it will not be so dramatic and maybe it will not be entirely gone in near future, but prospects are not good. Longest stretch of the Berlin Wall still standing, painted by numerous artists in the past, has been neglected and forgotten by the city authoritys for the long time. Great place of history and rememberance hopefully will endure all the attacks from the "developers" ans big money. Location is attractive, next to the Spree river, across Kreuzberg, newly built O2 Arena is there... Go visit, just in case its not standing there next year!

“See it while it is still there....”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Developers are having parts of this removed so they can build condos. See it as soon as possible. The city seems to want the development more than they want the tourist or artistic value of this part of the Berlin wall. Some very famous pictures/paintings adorn this section by the O2 sports facility.

“Great wall-art!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

You cannot leave Berlin without seeing a part of the (former) wall. The longest, and probably most attractive part, can be seen at the east side gallery. The wall is decorated with some famous street art, each piece being a masterwork. Get off at Ostbahnoff, walk beside the wall (can be quite busy) in the direction of Warschauer Strasse. Hop on the U-bahn there, and enjoy the ride over the famous Oberbaum bridge, from where you can see some more wall-art (cuvrystrasse). You're in Kreuzberg now, which is a great place for more graffiti and stencil spotting.
