This place is beautiful. A piece of history in Berlin.
Go to the viewing platform at the french French Cathedral, it is amazing. You need to pay 3 EURO and climb 524 steps but it is worth it.

A nice square in a pleasant part of the city a place to linger and drink coffee. Select a café away from the main square as this can get very busy with coach / cycle tour's!

A lovely large square between two cathedrals with occasional activities. You can also visit the old-fashioned toilet in the corner of the square under the trees.

Undisputably this is the biggest Christmas market that I ever visited, but also the most crowded, so incredibly crowded that long queues form in the narrow streets among the stands. It can get very stressful after a few minutes. Also unexpected the quantity and diversity of food available, as far as I can see for each shop of Christmas ornaments there are at least two selling any kind of food. And this too can be a stress factor, cramped rows of people walking in small steps in the midst of food scents, with people gorging themselves at any hour of the day. If only it was less crowded, it could be enjoyable!

It's OK. Similar in appearance to other parts of Berlin. We did visit on a hot day and didn't hang around for too long. It is supposed to be more beautiful at night in this area.
