I was fortunate enough to stay here for two nights in September of 2012. As a United Airlines credit card holder, I am eligible for upgrades at participating luxury hotels, of which the Hotel Adlon is one. As a result, I was able to book a junior suite with a Brandenburg Gate view for an extremely low price per night. The suite was absolutely lovely with bedside temperature controls for the room, a printer/fax machine, and a lovely sitting room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom however was truly spectacular with beautiful woodwork everywhere. I also had the opportunity to dine at the Adlon Esszimmer restaurant, which certainly has earned its two Michelin stars. Yes it was very expensive, but it was the dining experience of a lifetime and the food was superb. Berlin is one of my favorite European cities and I will definitely stay at the Hotel Adlon again in the future.

Room Tip: I don't thing there are any bad rooms at this hotel, but don't pass up on the chance to get...

Stayed over Christmas at the Adlon Kempinski . It was wonderful. Room was spacious, with a great bathroom, bath and separate shower, double basins and lovely toiletries . Couldn't fault the service. Check-in was quick, and wi fi was immediately connected, and was free. The Concierge service, was flawless. Anywhere you wanted to go or see, they were there to help and book tickets for you. They were a mine of information on any question, you would ask about Berlin.
The location beside the Brandenburg Gate was awesome , and just across from that the Reichstag
Building. Museum island was about 10 mins walk from the Hotel. In fact you could pretty well walk to all attractions from this Hotel. For those who would rather catch a cab, taxis were always available front of Hotel. Restaurants and cafes also with in walking distance as were the shops.
Loved every bit of our time there.

We decided to stay here after reading some great reviews. We were not disappointed. The hotel is the pinnacle of luxury and service - the room we stayed in was large, comfy and had great views across Berlin. However, be prepared to pay for the luxury.

The location was the second major plus. The hotel is literally next to the Brandenburg gate which looks amazing day and night - plus strolling distance from all the main tourist attractions in Berlin (e.g., Checkpoint charlie, Museum Island etc). It is also right outside an underground stop which makes it easy to get around when its cold/wet. However, the surrounding area is a little dull at night and you will have to travel (not far) for the nightlife and great restaurants.

Would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone - made the trip to Berlin even more memorable. Would also recommend hunting around for a great rate during the low period, which made it affordable for us.

Amazing location, amazing staff, amazing décor, pretty much amazing everything. Service at the Quarré restaurant can sometimes take a bit longer than one would've expected, but the food is well worth it. The internet's not all that great, and it can get a bit slow at times, but even then, it's still better than most hotels.

If you are looking to hang with the artist community of Berlin, this is not for you. More on the stuffy side, older crowd dressed up and rather serious. Great business hotel with a spa and several restaurants. My room was an upgrade but was laid out a bit strange, TV not visible from the bedroom, giant bar area and small WC but otherwise well appointed with a desk and fax machine. Staff was perfect, all speak English and can't help you enough.

We loved staying here. The hotel was beautiful and so was our room: very spacious, restful and quiet. No bling, which is great. The location is unbeatable. The people working at the hotel are very professional and very helpful. The only small drawback was that it was hard to find the entrance to the carpark (because of embassy security roadblocks), and difficult to get in to it!
Fantastic city too.
