Stayed here for a long weekend from 2nd to 7th May- checked out this morning- great hotel particularly the entrance lobby, bar and the pool area but the thing I and my friends noticed most was how friendly and helpful the staff were - nothing too much trouble, always a smile and greeting. It’s in a lovely area and close to the railway station, subway and zoo with some really good restaurants within 5 minutes ( the Thai restaurant 2 doors down is really good and Reinhardt next door has a fantastic breakfast selection and is a great place to sit and decide what to do for the day. I’m sure I’ll be back for the hotel and the city.

This hotel harked back to the great days of hotel design. It is ideally situated and accessible trains, trams, buses and walking distance to the chic and expensive shops nearby. It is well appointed and the staff, who are mostly English speaking are cordial and very helpful. The furnishings are faded elegance and there is old polished timber everywhere. There is a nice bar a pool and spa and the buffet breakfast is excellent (and not much extra). It is close to the fantastic zoo and metres away from the open top tours of Berlin, which i highly recommend. Overall a great experience.
