This Tower overpowers Berlin and is centrally located at Alexanderplatz. To be in Berlin and not visit here is like being in Paris and not visiting the Eiffel Tower. The views are excellent, the revolving restaurant is the icing on the cake and makes the whole experience wonderful.

After reviewing posts about the tower we knew there would be queues, so we purchased our tickets in advance (booking for 2100 hours) from a machine outside the front door. It was simple and easy to follow and offers time slots. We paid for VIP, thus no queues and a guaranteed table with a window in the restaurant. We arrived 15 minutes early and were allowed through to head towards the viewing area. We were advised to make our way to the reception for the restaurant at our chosen time to ensure we didn’t get delayed in being shown to our table.

The lift is smooth and very, very fast, your ears do pop when travelling up but it's part of the fun!

The restaurant rotates while you are sat eating so you’re able to observe and absorb the stunning views of Berlin. We all agreed (there was 4 of us) that this was one of the coolest and best attractions in Berlin. The food served in the restaurant was excellent, the service was extremely attentive and efficient. We arrived at out table for 21:00, had the most enjoyable meal and left around 23:15, never once feeling we were being pestered or hurried along.

All together, a wonderful experience. Not the cheapest (total was 300 Euros' including tip for 4) but I would highly recommend paying the extra to fully appreciate and enjoy the experience without the hassle of queuing.

The first time we tried to visit then tower it was closed for construction, so I would call or have your hotel call to be sure it's open...Second time to visit ,there was a line so there was a little wait..but it moved quickly . The elevator whisks you up to the observation floor..the views are amazing..in every direction..above there is a restaurant where you can enjoy your meal while revolving over the city. (I didn't eat there so I can't comment)...only on the window views that had maps below so you would know what you are seeing...I went there during the day...and would of liked to visit at night but was leaving ...This is a great attraction, a different way to see Berlin..I recommend it..

We booked this for 12 midday ( plus lunch in the revolving restaurant ) online to ensure fastrack entry, and dodged the queues. Excellent 360 degree views, and lunch was lovely if a little expensive (we must have chosen well as some reviewers have been disappointed) . With our pre purchased 5 day Berlin Welcome Transport Ticket we were able to redeem 5 euros discount per person as we spent over 15 euros each on food/drinks- so don't forget to use them. On balance this IS an expensive attraction though....

It is a bit overpriced, long line and you can't photograph the view well like you can expect... I recommend to go to the Berliner dom view you are looking for just a good view of Berlin, and not looking for being on one of Europe tallest buildings.

The Television Tower at the Alexanderplatz in Berlin is worth a visit. It provides a fabulous few over most of Berlin (unless it is foggy). It is recommended to plan a visit in the morning and have a coffee and perhaps some cake there and enjoy the view whilst the restaurant turns 360 degrees - long enough to enjoy the coffee and the view. By visiting early in the day one avoids the long wait and is guaranteed to get a table. .
