A beautiful cathedral with a vibe of peacefulness. While not a believer myself, I found solace in this place.

It is such a nice protestant church where you will find history about the reformists. you can get a ticket from the Machine and you can climb up to the Dome there you'll enjoy the beautiful view of Berlin.

The outside of Museum Island as a whole, where the Berlin Cathedral is situated, is gorgeous and should definitely be explored. I should also say at the outset I could not see the interior of the Church, and I'm sure it's beautiful. I will say that if you visit on a Sunday night (or what might be true of all nights) and they offer you a reduced rate without access to the interior DO NOT take it. It's a waste of money. The museum has nothing and the dome upstairs cannot see anything visible. The crypt is also nothing special. Wasn't pleased with my visit.

Original church was demolished in 1893 and this new cathedral was finished in 1905. Not an old cathedral at all, a pretty modern one. Still this is a stunning building to visit.

This is an amazing building built by the efforts of collective human labour. Shame that our tour guide did not have a sociological understanding of development to explain to us the material reasons and development of this beautiful site. We had to do our own research. Anyway, come here as the sunsets and when there street musicians playing some quality background music and you will be captivated by the gloomy appearance.
