Make the effort and go inside - although have marked average it really is worth the euro. Crypt and balcony being highlights.

Beautiful cathedral that really shows its age. Step toward the fountain for an opportunity to photo the entire building.

The Berliner Dom is an imposing structure, beautifully situated by the river and the Museum Island. I am not religious so have only viewed this from the architectural and historical perspective and enjoyed it. Definitely take the stairs to the top for the view and the walking through the crypt to exit is very poignant especially seeing the child coffins.

The architecture is outstanding and the interior is very grand. The history and significance of this place is great. The ticket seems expensive but once you're inside you will realise it's not. There are a few levels - you get to go up in the dome and walk around it and see the amazing views of Berlin from up high (if you're scared of heights this might be a bit difficult) ; you can go in the crypt and see all the burial places of the rulers of Prussia. This cathedral is the equivalent to Westminster in London. Definitely a must. It's also not far from the museum island so you've got a few places around and don't have to walk too much in between them.
