“Best food hall in Europe!”
Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

The food hall on the 6th floor is the place to be, the range is extensive and wonderful. You could get pretty much anything you dreamed of, and considering its very high end, the food is reasonably priced. You have to go here and pick up a few treats and have lunch at the same time, I had dinner at the Thai food counter, which was delicious and cooked in front of you, and stopped at the veuve clique champagne bar, which is the place to go if you like the finer things in life and feel like treating yourself!

“Food-lover Paradise”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

As with reviews below: a definite must for food lovers. The food hall on the top floor is out of this world and IDEAL to pick up a snack/dinner for evening flights out of Berlin. The Ka De We is an obligatory stop for me every time I'm in Berlin. If you just want something small (who am I kidding?) go straight to the biscuit/cake section towards the back: the freshly made cakes are, not only, beautiful to look at, but fresh and tasty. The Ka De We pistachio cake is a wonder for the senses.

“A must see for foodies but be aware this is an expensive store”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

PROS
- The 6th floor is a foodies heaven. You have different stalls and areas for different delicacies; vintage sweets, handmade chocolateries, fresh fruit & vegetables, butchers, wine, beers, biscuits, cheeses, tobacconists, fresh fish, teas and coffees and my favourite - the patisseries (Lenotre cakes just look simply stunning its impossible to not walk past and buy a slice). There are also little bars (maybe 10 people of less) where you can buy lunch or dinner - Thai, Spanish tapas, wurst, oysters, champagne, coffees, cake etc. Highly recommended if you are a foodie or are in the area

CONS
- It is very expensive; KaDeWe is the German equivalent of Harrods so all the biggest brand names are there; Chanel, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren etc -it's not the high street shops like Mango, Urban Outfitters etc. Great to window shop but just be warned.
- The restaurant at the top is **ridiculous** for prices; my partner and I had breakfast there (a small fruit salad, 1 cooked breakfast and a cold breakfast (2 rolls & slices of cheese/ham) and it cost us 30euros. But you pay for the experience of being in KaDeWe and the food is very good. Not a huge fan of the cafeteria setup mind you.

“Expensive shops, but the food hall is amazing!”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

The KaDeWe is Berlin's version of Harrods, featuring extremely expensive shops like Dior and such. However the food hall on the top floor is amazing, filled with a massive diversity of foods, chocolates, meats ect, some you've never even heard off, and the food hall is reasonably priced too! I got some chocolates from here, quite a bag full for around12 euro. There is something for everyone in the food hall, highly recommended as part of a shopping spree/shopping day.
