“A lot of works now”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

A lot if construction work is conducted here but still the avenue is the most beautiful one in Berlin with its shops, galleries and cafes

“The usual boulevard.”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

The boulevard is totally average, and is marked by Brandenburg Tor to the west, and Lustgarten to the east. It is, in itself, not much of an attraction, but near this road lies quite a few attractions which may be worth your while.

Unter den Linden and Franzosische Straßer and roughly parallel streets which are about 300m apart, while the Unter den Linden lies above Franzosische Straßer on the map.

Nobody's forcing you to walk the entire stretch of Unter den Linden from one side to the other. You can easily wander off Unter den Linden to Franzosische Straßer (PLEASE BRING A MAP!) and back, all the while making headway towards the general east direction, before culminating at the Eastermost part of Unter den Linden, where you cross a bridge and enter the Museum Island, and come face to face with the Berliner Dom.

NOTE: Ritter Sport Bunte Schokowelt and Gendarmenmarkt are along Franzosische Straßer. Food and beverages along Franzosische Straßer is slightly cheaper and better than those along Unter den Linden due to its lesser fame. It gets even better when you look along the streets perpendicular to both streets (I.e. those linking both Unter den Linden and Franzosische Straßer together - hint: look along Charlottenstraße

Also, Unter den Linden is currently undergoing alot of road works :( Unfortunate, but necessary. This may or may not mar your photo opportunities, though I wouldnt have taken many photographs along this stretch in the first place

“Good in-between attraction”
Reviewed September 4, 2012 via mobile

Go here along your path to more exciting places. Start at Tiergarten, then Bundestag, Brandenburger Tör, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, then get lunch here, walk by the EU embassies and then go east to Museuminsel (if you want to walk a little).

The street itself is not the main attraction.

“Must see!!!”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

I stayed about two blocks from Unter den linden. It's got a lot of sites worth checking out along the way. Bring your camera, you'll want to take lots of pictures of Brandenburg gate or Museuminsel or the shops in the area.

“typical urban grand boulevard”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

but a must see- the supposed "Champs" of Berlin; a treelined (hence the name a reference to the Linden Trees) boulevard that reaches its pinnicle at the brandenburger tor. Stroll, shop, cafes etc...
