“Must see!!!”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

I stayed about two blocks from Unter den linden. It's got a lot of sites worth checking out along the way. Bring your camera, you'll want to take lots of pictures of Brandenburg gate or Museuminsel or the shops in the area.

“typical urban grand boulevard”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

but a must see- the supposed "Champs" of Berlin; a treelined (hence the name a reference to the Linden Trees) boulevard that reaches its pinnicle at the brandenburger tor. Stroll, shop, cafes etc...

“A beautiful boulevard in the heart of Berlin”
Reviewed August 22, 2012 via mobile

This big boulevard is often compared to avenue des Champs Elysés in Paris. well, even if in my humble opinion the champs elysés are more beautiful, Unter den Linden is still a great avenue where you can take a nice walk. Perhaps not as commercial as Kurfurstendamm today, in the past Unter den Linden used to be a rural street which connected the royal palace to Tiergarten. here the german royal family used to hunt. Later bars and elegant shops started to appear. Unter den Linden has also been one of the first victims of the Nazi's urban concept. the beautiful trees planted by the german emperor were cut down to give the street a more austere looks. Anyway Unter den Linden is one of Berlin's most beautiful streets. Be sure not to miss the Russian embassy. The structure is huge and amazing and really gives you the idea of who used to rule over this portion of the city

“relaxing place”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

I liked this place very much: streets are large and full of gardens and trees, you can have a long walk all along having some bretzel or some sandwiches in typical street German-style and breath history and culture all around, just a few walk from Brandeburger Gate. Loved it

“Beautiful street”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

Currently there is a lot of construction work going on but despite that this famous street is very beautiful full of amasing architecture and lots of nice places to stop when your feet are giving up. Rather than a way to get to some major attractions the Unter den Linden is rightly so it's own attraction.
