It is a really interesting place to visit. Allow plenty of time if you want to read the history and stories.

Lots of interesting and very important information on what the German society went thru during that period. This place is more suited for history buffs that want to spend the time to read thru all the info. It would take many hours to fully appreciate all that it had to offer. The exhibit would be boring for younger kids.

This museum would be impossible to do completely. There is so much information, I don't know how you could possibly read through it all and see all the pictures in one visit. My husband and I spent a couple hours walking through and reading as much as we could but it can get overwhelming. It is hard to imagine how cruel people could be. But it was equally hard to believe that when the war was over, some of the people behind the cruelty went on with their lives!

Everything is in German and English. There is also a film you can watch and it is also in both languages.

This museum is on the site of the Gestapo headquarters. That in itself is remarkable to me.

A comprehensive overview of the Nazi regime from 33 to 45 - how it operated, how a democracy became a dictatorship and what this brought to the world in general, the German people and the European Jewish population in particular...

Not to be missed. Bullet holes, broken concrete and tile and spy holes remain near the east west divider - the Berlin Wall. Be sure to read the exhibits. Informative and chilling.
