Owner description: Since 1987 a permanent exhibition at the site where the headquarters of the Secret State Police, the SS and the Reich Security Main Office were located during the “Third Reich” has been providing information to the public about the most important institutions of National Socialist persecution and terror. The documentary exhibition conveys the European dimensions of the Nazi reign of terror.

Very informative and the pictures told the story better than any narrative could have. We were especially struck by the candid photos of the people who actually participated/witnessed the events as they were happening,

I did find this interesting. It was very surreal getting to see and walk by the old wall remains. I did find the museum part had a lot of reading! I found I was mainly looking at pictures and just skimming. Did learn lots though.

The Topography of Terror provides an overview of Germany's descent into madness under Hitler and the Nazi Regime. There is a huge amount of information avaiable but it is all well-presented and you can take your own pace. Seeing the wall close up is an added bonus.

This a place were the horrors are explained from the start to the end, in precise terms, with pictures and names that we should never forget. This is very long to read everything and in the end, you stop reading without having learned much more than you knew before. The historical pace it is situated in is nevertheless impressive when you imagine that all that was commended from there. To do, because memory must be refreshed, but does not convene for all audience.

You need a few hours to spend here, a lot of reading involved, but a really fantastic exhibition, so interesting and thought-provoking. Would definitely recommend it!
