Owner description: Since 1987 a permanent exhibition at the site where the headquarters of the Secret State Police, the SS and the Reich Security Main Office were located during the “Third Reich” has been providing information to the public about the most important institutions of National Socialist persecution and terror. The documentary exhibition conveys the European dimensions of the Nazi reign of terror.

A very good museum…about a very disturbing theme. Everybody who visits Berlin should have a look at this place and remember what happened…

It's free and very well made, but you have to read a lot…no multimedia, but I didn't missed it.

One of the most interesting exhibits we visited on our 4 day trip to Berlin. Obviously, this is not a feel-good place, but every visitor of this city should see what a regime can do to its people. You could easily spend half a day day in this centre, reading all the information that is displayed. Of course, you're not alone there so sometimes it can become very crowdy and hard to read everything with all these people walking in front of the boards. But that shouldn't stop you from visiting this free exhibit!

The Topography of Terror is a very well-delivered museum. I found the layout and design excellent, there is open space to move about the exhibition freely. Even with large school groups visiting at the same time as I did, I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic.

The content of the museum is informative and also very harrowing. Although you wouldn't come out thinking 'I really enjoyed that' due to the nature of the content. I would definitely, definitely recommend visiting there if you're in Berlin.

Fantastic! It's the most comprehensive explanation I've seen yet of how the Nazis gained power and how they tried to legitimise mass murder through mind-boggling bureaucracy. It is thorough, stark but sensitive with it.

Great and very informative museum with detailed descriptions and pictures portraying the treatment of jews and other people at that time.
