“Suprisingly Good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

I hadn't planned to go to this museum and hadn't read anything about it before hand. I happened to pass it on the way to Checkpoint Charlie and as it was free thought is was worth popping in.

Am I glad I did - it was fantastic!!!!

So much to see and read - a really thorough history of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. It was so interesting - I ended up staying for hours.

They don't try to hide the horrors that went on or gloss over the sad past Berlin has - they present it in all it's facts, which are lets face it very moving.

Some of the pictures they show brought me to tears.

It is well worth a visit. If you are pushed for time please choose this over the Checkpoint Charlie museum - this one is free and is a hundred times better!!

“Wow...”

Important exhibit, but be prepared for a potentially strong or visceral impact. Some graphic images, so not really suitable for children. We can't let this happen again! Drives home both the evil and resilience of human nature.

“Enlightening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

- Free entry
- English for each exhibit
- Free W/C located downstairs
- Two hours minimum visit

It is the last length of Berlin Wall remaining, located outside the Terror Museum. The museum is very clean and orderly, showing the flow of Hitler's rise and fall, and terrible acts to humans by the Nazi leadership. The building is located on top of the ruins of the SS headquarters, foundation on displayed outside.

Its a must see, but be prepared to read.

“Must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

This is a must see. Fascinating photographs and details of the Nazi's rise to power. I found the most disturbing photo's the colour ones- a vivid reminder of how recent our past is. Learning of the fate of those implicated in wrong doing was part placatory and part frustration. This is a free museum as they all should be! And thete's a lovely northern tea lady in the cafe

“Thought provoking exhibit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

A great synopsis of one of the worst parts of recent history.

Entrance is free (which is unusual for a place where going to the loo is an excuse to charge you) and very convenient when visiting checkpoint Charlie. Very impressive building and well set out exhibition.

Word of warning. Taking 11 and 13 year olds there is fine, but they will get bored. There is nothing to touch and feel and they are likely to get fractious! this is a little irritating for parents wanting to read everything. It is probably bette done with time on your hands and not trying to bridge a gap.

A very worthwhile visit though
