“A must see for WWII lovers”
Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

Very very informative. I've been to lots of WWII museums in Germany and Poland. This is the best one. Free. TONES of information and be prepared to read a lot. Spend at least 2.5hours on this site. And suggest to make it the last site for visit in your trip, otherwise, u will be disappointed by other museums.

1 Thank WWIIjerk

“Well worth the visit”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

On the original site of the SS HQ and beside a section of the Berlin Wall. You could spend hours here absorbing all the information available, very interesting and informative.

“A must visit in Berlin”
Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

Both the open exhibition outside and the indoor documentation center present the history of the third German Reich on a time axis, including many pre-war daily life images and info, that continues to the life in Berlin during the war and the prosecution of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and political opponents. Never forget this.

“Give yourself time +”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Another great museum for detailed information regarding the History of the NAZI Police. The exhibits located outside and inside are remarkable and has free entry. This is a learning and reflective style museum.
The museum site is located in the ex location of the SS which really links although the original building was destroyed.
You do need a lot of time to read through the information, or maybe glance and skim read articles and pictures that impact you, or do it over a period of days. There is also a free and clean toilet to use, a rarity in Berlin!
This Museum is also located very close to Checkpoint Charlie and has parts of the original Berlin Wall insitu out the front.
The museum is easy to find and the building is featured with a huge rock garden encompassing it.
Very wheelchair friendly.

The exhibit details the entire evolution of the German political and social evolution in the 20th century leading up o and though the war. Detailed perspectives and historical accounts are presented i clear and uncompromising fashion. I highly recommend taking the time to visit.
