Great to see this part of Berlin history. Many people about taking it all in. Hard to think of all the things that have gone on here. Visited Hitler bunker site not far from here also.

This is one of the most famous monument at Berlin. Other than the physical structure, you may get a lot of other things like different types of people who will entertain you! A must see in Berlin.

Check out the DZ Bank building. You can enter to the lobby and will see a Frank Gehry's masterpiece!
Great secret spot right next to Brandenburger Tor :)

This area is great to walk through and the gate is something to see. There are tons of entertainers on the street and different individuals dressed up for picture taking...of course they do charge, so have single euros with you. We negotiated, my teen daughter had to have a picture with dark vadder. There is also a welcome, info center right by the gate. We bought the Berlin card and found that it was cost effective, for our family. We used it throughout the whole trip. The gate is so beautiful....hard to believe that the Berlin Wall ran right through that area, so much history here. This is a must and I highly recommend!

The entire area is full of touristy fun, bike rentals, ice cream vendors, postcards, and such stuff...but the sculptural and architectural grandeur of the gate still brings back the era in which it was built. A magnificent symbol for Germany.
