This hotel was a great find, it was very cheap with a great location. We got a 20 minute S bahn from Schoenfeld airport to alexanderplatz station and the hotel is 3 minutes walk from there very easy to find once you come out the right door!!! (the one at the end by McDonalds) turn left and straight. You are also only 1 minute for the U bahn station but we walked everywhere to experience the city, most of the famous things are about a 30
minutes walk but lots to see on the way.
Food and drink: there are a few pubs with alot of out door seating just by the train station but we went to a pub area recommended by the receptionist at the hotel. It was 10/15 minutes walk or 1 stop I think on the S bahn, nice area with lots of pubs. The Kilkenny pub was good with friendly Irish staff and a good atmosphere for all ages it was also good for food, prices the same as Ireland (which is big enough) but that was the same all over. There is a nightclub across from the hotel we didnt go, we were there monday to friday so I dont know if there is any noise from it.
The staff in the hotel were very nice and very helpful, we didnt need to go to a tourist office because the receptionist marked out everything worth seeing for us!! A walking tour of the city is worth doing, some of which are free. They have a free computer in the reception area and they printed out our boarding cards for free. The pictures on their website are exactly as it is, we booked a family room for the 3 of us just for the extra space - it cost nothing extra. The room was clean and quiet. For E93 each for 4 nights plus breakfast ( continental) which was lovely. It was excellent value you definitely got more than you paid for.
Shopping in the area: there is a big shopping centre 2 minutes from alexanderplatz station and some shops around the station are well worth a look. ( shops not open Good Friday)

The rooms were spacious, breakfast was OK and the location very convenient. The rooms at the street side are very noisy, with lots of building activities going on, a noisy night club and a continuous flow of trams.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the backside of the hotel

The location was excellent and the price somehow reasonable. Clean, friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. However, it is not all pink. For some ridiculous reason the hotel switches off the room thermostat and controls the temperature centrally. Naturally, they switched it off completely in the morning and was below optimum at night (you have to remain below the quilt). A double room has only one quilt, no extra blankets or covers. The bathroom has also absolutely no toileteries as expected from an Accor hotel and this price.

This hotel is all about the location - the rooms are very basic and the hotel doesn't look very appealing from the outside. But if does have some of the basics right.....
- it was clean / good room cleaning
- it was in a good location
- excellent breakfast
- tourist information

If you are looking for a clean budget hotel in a good location this is a great choice - it does have a back packer hostel feel to it, but otherwise is a good roof over your head.

We stayed over the Berlin marathon weekend and all the hotels were full, we paid 140 Euro and were expecting something relatively nice. It was called the Arena Hotel and has just changed its name. Alexanderplatz is undergoing a lot of renovation and looked a mess. I would not stay in this area again. The hotel is very basic, more like a 2 star, however the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The problem was a nightclub that was opposite, we left at 8am and the music was still on. All night we could hear people outside the club laughing and singing. Great if you want to party, terrible if you want to sleep.
Very noisy, very basic, not worth the money.

The All Seasons hotel (formerly Arena ) in Alexanderplatz has a small crew that does his best to keep the visitor satisfied. The rooms are of medium size and they are quite quiet due to noise blocking windows. Breakfeast is very good and can keep one "running" for a long time.
The free Wi-Fi requires a password, but it still useful to get internet access. The location of the hotel near S/U Bahn stations makes it an ideal place for starting many trips. Shopping is also easy with Alexa and Galeria Kaufhof nearby.

As a hotel for B&B this is ideal. The breakfast is substantial and the staff were extremely helpful with advice for restaurants etc. As a small group we were not looking for the service and ambience expected of the more grand hotels, but this hotel provided all the other requirements. Would strongly suggest if you wanted a value for money establishment, close to all the sites....this is it. NOTE this hotel was previously called Arena. I mention this as we booked it under this name and the change of name caused a problem with our taxi service from the airport.
