“Impresssive collection of flora from all over the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

This magnificent place has a most impressive collection of plants from all kinds of eco-systems. Excellently displayed Japanese garden, rose garden, tropical greenhouses, medicinal garden, American prairie gardens, aquatic garden--all in a parkland setting. The arboreta is incredible. A+++++

“Only if you like trees and stuff like that”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

I wasn't very impressed, but maybe the cause was the time of my visit - December. Although the weather was great, the garden wasn't lushy and full of colours. I expected to see the oldest plant fossil in the world (90 milion years old!), but no one was able to show me where it exactly is. The great attraction was to see the bamboos, groving really fast - 30 cm per day!

“Lovely Escape”

Beautiful grounds for those times when Berlin's parks don't offer enough escape.
Even got to pick wild strawberries for myself.

“Lovely Escape From The City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

Had a fantastic afternoon at the Botanical Gardens, there is loads to see could have easily spent the whole day here.
The outdoor section is lovely to walk round on a sunny day, big wooded style areas surrounding a lake, very tranquil and relaxing. The different areas are separated into plants and trees from different regions of the world, all with individual tags telling you what they are, where from etc.
On one side there is a nice little café with outdoor seating serving snacks and drinks which was a good place to relax for a bit - quite pricey but no more than other in-attraction cafes.
They have a huge area of greenhouses to walk round with all kinds of plants and flowers you can imagine from across the globe. From cacti to citrus fruit trees, rainforest foliage to aquatic plants they have such a wealth of plants to see!

“Botanical Gardens”

Quite the best we have seen. Superbly managed and with a wealth of the world's plants and trees. The café serves excellent refreshments. We enjoyed our visit so much - worth a revisit at a different time of the year.
