I have given the Hampton 4 from 5 because for the price the value is quite good. I can recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to visit Berlin but not spend a fortune on accommodation. This is however a no frills attached hotel. The rooms are very clean and modern, fitted with air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom with a large shower. I would advise paying that little bit more for a room overlooking the inner courtyard. The hotel sits right next to the S-Bahn (railway) line. Our room faced into the courtyard and we were not disturbed by the trains. A positive was the free WLAN access (not necessarily normal for German hotels). Where the hotel fell down in my opinion was the breakfast which is my major criticism. Prior to booking I had read several reviews and the breakfast was praised in many of them. The concept is for guests to help themselves. However this is more in the form of a canteen. The tables are not laid and are cleared by the staff after each guest. The hot food was only lukewarm (scrambled egg, sausage and bacon + hard boiled eggs) and the rolls provided were poor for German standards (hard and stodgy). To note some further positive aspects: the staff were all friendly and pleased to help and the hotel is well situated to get to the Ku'damm and the Zooligischer Garten station. There are several good restaurants in walking distance.

Room Tip: I would advise paying that little bit more for a room overlooking the inner courtyard.

This hotel offers many wonderful things. The location is fantastic as it's close to high end shopping, excellent restaurants and public transportation ie : train station and bus lines. The rooms are clean, comfortable and relatively sound proof. The AC works well so you don't need to open the windows and hear the trains rolling by below. Didn't bother us at all. The free breakfast was plentiful and offered hot entrees as well as yogurts, cereals fruit etc. Very well run with lots of staff clearing tables. The free WiFi is strong in the rooms and is easy to connect to.
The front desk and breakfast staff were exceptional. A few staff members such as Nadine, Gordon and Maja, provided us with excellent recommendations to restaurants, juice bars, and shopping. Not to mention clear and printed directions to bus/ train lines and they even sold Hop on/ off tour tickets at a discounted rate.
I have two comments that would have made my experience excellent. The first is the lack of room safe. Even though they offer safety deposit boxes at the front desk, they should add them to the rooms. It is sort of expected now a days. The second comment would be to get stronger umbrellas for the unexpected rain. We borrowed one ( 5 euros deposit) and it was pretty flimsy.

Other than that, I am happy to say this Hampton Inn is well run, in a great location and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

We stayed for 2 nights. Very busy place. We took our room and looked out the window. About 12 train tracks almost against the building (you don't see them when you enter the hotel). I asked staff if trains run all night. They said: no, not really (but they did). But we got used to it. Big eating area for breakfast. Good variety and plenty to eat. Kurfuerstendamm is within walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing train tracks.

This hotel is centrally located within a 5 minute walk to the Ku'damm. 5 Minutes from a station and 5 minutes from a bus stop. Rooms are comfortable, well maintained and clean. Free WiFi is great! Reception staff are friendly and go the extra mile to give advice. As for the continental breakfast it is adequate and generally included in the price however breakfast times can get very busy later on in the morning. Great bonus is that the double glazed windows can be opened for fresh air albeit noisy with the railway line passing the hotel, when open. Barman friendly and helpful. All in all and good value hotel for Berlin.

Room Tip: Ask for a upgraded room facing away from the railway line.

We recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. With so much to see and do in Berlin, we didn't require a fancy hotel with lots of bells and whistles. This Hampton provided a good location, with clean rooms and good amenities, at a good price. It is half a block from the main shopping street on Kurfurstendamm and very close to public transportation to get all over the city, and within walking distance to some good restaurants. Also, a basic buffet breakfast and wifi are included in the price of the hotel room. Parking at the hotel is very limited. It is 17€ a night and there are only 11 spots plus 4 spots for handicap parking. You will need to get a parking key from the front desk prior to getting to the downstairs garage. Not sure where they direct overflow parking as we were lucky enough to get the last spot! Front desk staff was both helpful and very nice providing maps, local information and restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Berlin.

The hotel is perfect for Berlin. It is located very close to public transportation, and major street in Berlin. Perfect location for a family or couples. The staff are friendly, and the hotel has all the amenities. Please request a room away from the train track, so that noise is not a problem

A modern, affordable hotel in the "city west" area of Berlin. Rooms are spacious and clean, including free wireless internet access. The complimentary breakfast is a plus, offering a nice way to start your day. Located near Kurfurstendamm avenue for your shopping needs and a 5 minutes walk from "Zoologischer Garten" train station for easy access to the city center and airport.
