I like Hampton in Berlin as it offers one of the best ratios for what you get for your money in the city. Location is great, just 500m from ZOO station with all S-/U-Bahn and train connections, with direct bus to Tegel airport (TXL) bus X9 takes some 20min and leaves every 10min during the day. Service – great service at checkin/out, friendly and helpful. Rooms – nice clean modern basic rooms with everything you need – you get all cosmetics – but not in small bottles but on the wall, enough towels, ironing board, free internet.... Breakfast – is very good, with fried eggs, meat balls, pancakes – so more than sufficient Gold/Platinum . – all you need for a good stay. Walking about 1 km from the hotel is the „central park“ of Berlin – Tiergarden. Running the whole park around gives you some 8km with detours you can run endlessly. Some 10-11km run can take you through ZOO, Gedaechniskirche, Siegesseule, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag – running mostly in the park. Tip – avoid rooms with S-Bahn view, could get loud when train passes, all other rooms are great. I like to stay at Hampton when being in the west part of the city and continue staying here

We stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago, and returned again on the strength of the excellent stay we had here before.
The reason for the visit this time was to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday with friends and family, and again the hotel didn't disappoint. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and pleased to help with any request we had, from information about new restaurants in the area, to transport information.
The room was spacious, couldn't hear the passing S Bahn due to the excellent double glazing, powerful shower, plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was as good as I remembered, hot and cold choices with proper plates and utensils, and the coffee was excellent, ranging from robust, to normal and decaf, and a good selection of teas too.
We are going back to Berlin next year and we will stay at the Hampton Berlin West again without a doubt

Located about 5 or 10 minutes walk from Zoogarten rail and bus hub, this very modern hotel is all class offering a large, quiet room, breakfast to die for (only the coffee was crap - they need a Nespresso) served from 6am to 11am, free internet, close to transport as well as meeting points for many of the Berlin tours. If you don't already have one of the several Visitor Cards available for Berlin, you can purchase one here. There are also some exceptionally good eateries within a 5 or 10 minute walk from the hotel. All offer well priced meals and drinks. Staff were always friendly and helpfull and speak perfect English. I have already suggested this hotel to friends and will definately stay here again when next in Berlin. What did I like the least? Other than the coffee there is nothing to dislike here.

I picked this to use up some HHonors points during a two night stay in Berlin. Our flight got in quite a bit late and we had to take a train in from the airport to the Zoo station. Very short walk of about ten minutes and while we could have looked it up online, it was just easier to call the hotel and get directions. We didn't have a lot of luggage (just a rollerboard and backpack each) but if you had a slightly larger suitcase with wheels it still would be an easy walk. If you really need one, there are plenty of taxis nearby.

The staff were great. Giving advice about things in the area and how to get around. They have a nice bar area that is open all day and well into the night. The free breakfast which is a Hampton Inn standard was very good. It's also nice that in Europe they tend to use real plates and silverware for these breakfasts rather than the disposable utensils at the hotels over here.

We did a fair amount of walking around, but mainly just over to the train station to get to where we needed to go.

There were some previous reviews about the train tracks nearby, but we didn't get disturbed by any noises like that. In fact, I will try to post a photo of some very cool murals that were just outside our window (like I said it was dark when we got to the hotel, so this was a nice surprise when we looked out the window.)

We didn't visit the Zoo, but wish we had the time to do that since it was so close. Other highlights were the Brandenberg Gate, Bundestag, and a tour of the Stasi prison (highly recommend that as you get a real sense of the whole East Germany/East Berlin - West Germany/West Berlin perspective.)

I selected this hotel after reading the comments on Trip Advisor and was very happy with it. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have all the facilities one might need for a city trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. I was very pleased with the coffee selection.

We asked for a room away from the S-bahn tracks upon check-in, because we read about those on tripadvisor and noticed them upon arrival. The receptionist actually asked us if we had any preferences when he checked us in, and we got one on the back of the hotel, furthest away from the tracks as possible, so our room was very quiet indeed.

My boyfriend made use of the gym which was small, but had all the equipment he needed. The free wifi in the hotel was a tad slow.

The location is perfect for a city trip and Berlin's public transport is very well organized, so we could get to the sights that were too far to walk in mere minutes. I'd suggest to buy the day tickets for 6,50 euros. They will take you everywhere and safe you money if you use it more than twice on a day. There are plenty of restaurants in the direct neighbourhood of the hotel and the staff will happily suggest nice places to eat. We loved the little sushi restaurant just down the street.

this hotel is in a wonderful area of Charlotenburg, the designer shops start at the end of the street and continue up to the Ka Da We (aprox 15 minute walk). There are many fabulous bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, bus and underground are all close to the hotel, and you are only aprox 10 minutes from Berlin centre. It is lovely after a long day sightseeing to come back to the hotel, and stroll round the shopping streets on an evening.

Room Tip: you can ask for a room overlooking the courtyard, but these are slightly smaller than the ones overl...
