“Hangover heaven!”
Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

Excellent place to stay. Great location with the u-bahn right outside so easy to get to and from the airport as well as great access to the rest of the city. Friendly staff who gave us a map and directed us to cool places and nice bar area with cheap beers. Clean room and bathroom with good shower. They had daily cleaners come round to clean the room although they never did ours because we were always nursing our hangovers in bed!
The hostel was exactly what we wanted a clean and quiet place to recuperate after crazy nights in Berlin. Also an amazing but crazy busy kebab van outside, I'd never eat one in England but these were incredible and less than 4 euros each. Definitely one to recommend.

Price is quite cheap compared to other hotels...however the quality is quite disturbing.if you just need somewhere to sleep and save money at the same time, search no more. The location is quite good for tourist. However this place is definitely not for an enjoyable holiday.

This was a bitter sweet stay. It was a sweet memory of those long gone student years - and the bitter acknowledgement that they're long gone. The hostel itself is nothing much: it occupies the top floors of a shabby wohnungblock in one of the more typical Kreuzberg streets. However, if you're not exactly looking for a posh hotel and don't mind a few kinks and quirks of places like this - then this is a bargain place. In fact, minus the fact that it is more of a student hostel, the place is attractively faded and rather funky. The rooms are big and the sheets are clean, the water is hot and that is basically all you need to be a happy customer.
Located not very far from the city center (but don't buy the "15-minutes walk" stuff), this is actually a very good venture point: it will give you the opportunity to walk off that hearty big breakfast you had with a bunch of hungover kids. Seriously, the all-you-can-eat buffet is decently stocked and the coffee is fabulously non-italian: drink litres of it if you will. The road towards the Bundestag will take you past the Martin Gropius Bau and the free, permanent exhibition of the reign of the Nazi terror, right next to a long portion of the wall. Another route will take you towards the Potsdamer Platz. And so on. The location is also ideal because the U-Bahn is right under the building, just next to the Kabab stand where they will serve you a mean kebab. Or you can also go for the curry wurst right down the street. And good news for all tourists from the commonwealth: there's a place serving Brit food right across the street. The folk is a wonderful mix from all over so you can't expect to be bored. Anyway, I liked the place: it was the common room where I had my kebab while watching a bunch of students starting to get pissed. It was the fabulous couple of old ladies at the breakfast buffet. It was - a very nice stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed here 1 night and had a double room with an ensuite - it wasnt very big but it didnt matter - everything was working we had sky tv in the room and it was really comfortable, with a great view of the city. It was extremely clean with everything provided. More than anything though its the position of this place thats great being right in the heart of Berlin- will be sure to be making a return journey on our next stay.

The room was clean and it was spacious for the 4 of us. The bathroom was good, but after someone took a shower, the whole room was wet. The staff was very friendly: our neighbors were very noisy (not just for one hour, but from 1 am till 6 am), we told them the next morning and they did take care of it. Next night was much better. The WiFi wasn't working in our room, which was a pity. The breakfast was good: lots of choice!
It's a good hostel to go with your friends!

Excellent location. It’s situated right above the Metro Station and within walkable distance from Brandenburg gate. A very famous food stall outside the hostel is always crowded. Rooms are neat and clean, the mixed dorm or the 6 people dorm is real value for the money. I got a nice offer for free breakfast along with the stay for 2 nights. The breakfast was very tasty and had a wide range of variety, though being a vegetarian I had lots of options. The staff were kind and very helpful, Free wi-fi was available all through the hostel and paid browsing in the lobby. There is a very safe luggage storage room to leave your luggage even after you check out. The hostel also has a decent bar and a foosball area for recreation. If you want a budget hotel and touring as a gang this hostel is a boon.

I recently stayed here with a group of 6 guys for a stag do and I was impressed. Having stayed in some pretty poor hostels in the past, this one was clean, comfy and safe.

Our room was spacious enough for us all, the bedding was comfy, showers (communal and in our room) were clean and breakfast was basic but good - certainly enough to keep you going until lunch (breads, hams, cheese, cereal etc).

The location is outside of central Berlin but takes about 25 minutes to walk in which was fine or you could get the underground which is right outside the front door. There were plenty of taxi's around too if you needed to get in quickly. Hostel staff were helpful and friendly too.

I probably wouldn't stay here if I came with my wife for a weekend away but I definitely would again if it was for another group holiday.
