I had a little difficulty trying to locate the hotel upon exiting the S-bahn station, but found out it's not that hard actually, just look out for the "An der Spandauer Brück" sign. Cannot find the signs, head towards the main road right beside the station, if you are going in the right direction, you should see a kamps backstube bäckerei at the corner near the tram tracks, the hotel is just a minute walk away really.

I was given a free upgrade (pleasant surprise!) room on the 8th storey since my room was not ready when I was checking in. Apart from the toilet/ bathroom and bedroom, rhe room had a kitchenette (equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle and yes, utensils too) and a cozy living room, basically everything that made it feel like home.

The room was spotless and quiet, I managed to get 4 nights of well-rested sleep. Even though wifi comes at a price, you can request for a userid and password (good for one hour) at the front desk, and return to your room to go online with your device. If not, there are two PCs at the lobby.

Location is perfect, perfect, perfect. Easy and quick enough to get to the main sights via S-bahn, just a stop away from Alexanderplatz, which is where the TV tower and a shopping area are at. I had flown in from Schönefeld, so just needed to train (S9) down, change trains once at Ostkreuz (S5/ S7), then alight at Hackescher Markt.

There is a supermarket just around the corner, plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, flea markets in front of the station during the day, and nice little boutiques as you venture down towards the Sisley boutique street direction. Conveniently, the meeting point for some of the Insiders Tour is right in front the station, good for first time solo travellers like myself, and more importantly, I felt very safe even the times I was walking around alone at nights.

Dear kryptful, it is good hear that we could make your first time solo travelling so comfortable. I hope this encourages you to explore more places in the future. Unfortunately Adina is not yet everywhere, but you find us across Australia, New Zealand and more and more cities in Europe. We are looking forward to welcome you again in one of our Adina´s. The hotel is very centrally located and is near an S-bahn station so it is very easy to get from place to place. The hotel is newer so it is very modern compared with others in Europe. The Adina sells itself as an apartment hotel but the studio room I stayed in is really the same size as a regular hotel room and the only thing that makes it an apartment is the tiny kitchenette which only takes up room in my opinion. As for the amenities, they are standard minus - I think that a 4 star hotel should supply conditioner and body wash and not just shampoo that is supposed to be used for all your needs.

Dear Orr S, many thanks that you took the time to give us your feedback on your recent stay with us. Unfortunately it looks like that we are not the right product for your needs, although we offered you to get you the wanted conditioner from the grocery store next door. I am sure you will find the right place next time throughout the many 5-star hotels in town. Kind regards Annette Jost

We used the Adina apartment hotel in hackescher markt as a base for a city break in Berlin. The hotel is less than a minutes walk from the hackescher markt s bahn station and only a couple of minutes from alexanderplatz. (Everything goes from alexanderplatz) plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars in the area. Within walking distance of all the top sites in Berlin. A team stop just around the corner too.
We had a studio room which was plenty big for two people. Very modern and well decorated. We spent a little time in the thermal suite which in fairness is quite small but very clean and perfect for a half hour wind down after a days exploring Berlin.
The buffet breakfast was fantastic, great selection, clean area and great helpful staff.
Really loved this hotel and i would definitely return should I be lucky enough to visit the amazing city of Berlin again :)

We booked as part business part leisure and whilst not vey well located for the messe exhibition centre it is a perfect location for exploring the city.
We had a 1 bed apartment which was very well equipped and spacious. Staff and service excellent, very helpful and polite. Cleanliness very good.
I don't have anything but praise for the management which was exceptional.
Highly recommend

This is the first time I have stayed in an 'apartment hotel' and I wasn't disappointed, It was fantastic on many levels. Remember, this is an apartment hotel - slightly different to full-on hotels in terms of the freedom you get to cook and eat in your rooms etc.
We didn't use many of the hotels facilities outside of the room so we cannot really comment on the pool/jacuzzi or the restaurant but we did use the bar in the evenings which was lovely, atmospheric with good service at a reasonable price.
The hotels location is fantastic, It lies in the old 'east' side of the city, very close to the museum island - It is very central and close (within 100m) to 2 S-Bahn lines and the tram stops of Hackescher Markt. It is also very close (within walking distance) to the central hub of Alexanderplatz which offers lots of decent shopping and access to the TXL airport transfer bus. Around the hotel you will find lots of nice places to eat and drink, a very well stocked supermarket and lots of hip and unique shops as well as a market in the square twice weekly.

The Hotel itself is very modern and immaculately kept, it is also very secure - you need your swipe card to move around the hotel and use of the lifts. Baggage is also kept in a locked room and not just stuck behind reception or on trolleys like in other places. The lobby is comfortable, tranquil and warm with free WiFi and access to magazines and info on local attractions. The corridors are well kept and smelt lovely! The rooms are brilliant, finished to a high standard and immaculately clean and well presented. We stayed in a Studio which is spacious in itself. The kitchenette includes a dishwasher (although the maids cleaned our dishes and cups), a kettle, toaster, lots of cutlery and plates/bowls/pans, a fridge, sink and double electric hob with extractor. They also provide sugar and salt/pepper. There is a table, 2 chairs, desk, sofa with sliding wardrobe, safe, ironing stuff, hair dryer and also iPod dock which all worked.
The air conditioning was very good and worked as it should with settings for temp, cool and warm. The TV is a good size (32") with English channels! (BBC/C4/ITV2/E4/CBBC/Film 4/BBC3/CNN/BBC world).
The WiFi - some reviewers on here are confusing the situation about the in-room wifi so i will set the record straight! Upon arrival you are given an access code (on your TV messages). When you input the code and your room number you can choose your payment options - 3.50e for 3 and a half hours of access, 7e for 7 hrs or 22e for 24hrs. Basically if you choose 3.5 hrs it gives you that much time of 'browsing' and not 'use within 3.5 hours' so if you were on a 4 day stay, you could use just under an hours worth of browsing a day and only get charged 3.50. 10 mins of browsing on the iPad here and there over our 4 day trip was more than enough.
So all in all, we had a fab stay in Berlin thanks to this excellent hotel. We will be back definitely!

Dear lukepricey, what a great and detailed review on your recent stay with us. I will give all your credits for the team and housekeeping to my team. This is a great motivation, if you get from the guests the appreciation for their work. It really sounds that you have taken the time very thoroughly to explore all facilities in the room. I really appreciate that you explain your experience with the wifi and it is easy to get around with € 3,50 over 4 days, if you just use it for checking emails. The last question which is still open, when will you return? Looking forward to it. Kind regards Annette Jost
