Description: "cha cha" is a Thai expression that means something like "all will be well", "no stress" or "slowly slowly". For us, the name symbolizes a time out from today's stressful city life. Based on the century-old Thai cuisine, our chefs have developed modern dishes with a "wellness effect". Every dish offered in our "cha cha - Thai Street Kitchen" restaurants serves two purposes: on the one hand, it aims to be tasty and please the palate, on the other hand, the menu also offers choices that address the guest's current bodily needs. For example, he or she can choose among invigorating, cleansing, stabilizing or wholesome dishes.

Ate here recently after hearing good reviews.
Liked the vibe very relaxed and laid back. Though enter through the side/back door-looks way cosier seating area!!
Food was good, one green curry and one potato based curry, not offered a choice on rice to accompany, couple beside us has a prawn based noodle dish & they said it was super.
The waiter was unfriendly, rude and had a bad attitude, several people asked for his attention during their meals only to be told 'wait' rather rudely. The waiter never handed us a receipt or gave us a bill when requested - he just shouted out the amount that was due-I found this very poor basic service,it is a basic necessisity to receive a receipt.
Overall good place in Berlin to eat!

We went there for lunch. When we entered no one greeted us. While we had a look around, a waitress (without greeting us) told us in a harsh tone we could not sit in that area of the restaurant since it is closed for business. Why three or four other parties were eating in that area is to remain a secret. We went back to a table in the front of the restaurant, reckon they wanted it to look a bit busier.

A waiter came to our table without greeting us, cleaned our table and went off again. We felt slightly unease because of the staff I have to say. Eventually a waiter came to take our orders (he did not say hello). It was hilarious, he looked at us with an icy impression, just as he was about to bash us. Oh man, this place really would make a great place for learning how not to run a restaurant or Cafe. I asked him whether there is something wrong and he just asked for our orders without acknowledging my question.

The Thai rice noodles I ordered smelled like a ready made dish when they were served (and that plus that steely impression of the waiter, scary). The noodles tasted reheated and lots of them stuck together; they looked like badly cooked tagliatelle and the only real Thai thing was the fact they sprinkled some coriander on top of the dish. Lunch was not a cheerful event really. I only had a few bites and soon asked for the bill. I told the waiter we did not like our food and it had nothing to do with Thai Food at all, he didn't care and simply asked for our money. When I asked again why it tasted so badly he said he is going to pass our comments on to the chef.

It is not enough to put a friendly face on the cover of the menu and cover the whole show up as "healthy eating". What about if someone of the staff would be friendly and welcoming and the chef would actually make an effort and cook Thai Food? Would we have known that we are going to get bland food and no service at all, we would not have gone there for lunch. Can not recommend this place to anyone.

We have been in Eastern Europe for 4 weeks and eating local food and were dying for something spicy. Cha Cha did just the job, a great green curry and fusion of beef and broccoli (not so hot)
Good food and service

Restaurant is close to Freidrichstasse and we stopped off there to eat due to its location and desperate need for food! Prices are very reasonable bordering on cheap. Service was good and quick although we were eating in the early evening when the restaurant was not busy. Food was well sized and decent, although flavourings were OK and nothing too special. I would visit again if in the immediate area but it wouldn't be top of my list....

Cha Cha is on the main shopping street Freidrichstrasse, a stones throw from our hotel, so we went there on Tuesday night for a meal. On arrival, a Turkish waiter told us there were no seats available in the back part of the restaurant and it was now closed to the public, as all the tables were full!. He offered us two spaces in a very rowdy table in the front section of the restaurant which we swiftly declined! Sensing that we were about to leave he soon found my wife and i, an empty table and ushered another waiter over who took our order. Our German is not great but this waiter seemed to dislike the fact that he was serving two British people and was being awkward in taking our orders for drinks and meals. The wine was poor quality cheap rubbish probably bought from Kaisers( cheap supermarket chain, a bit like LIDL). The food was equally poor in quality and the starters, were so obviuosly reheated in a microwave, as they were both dry and roasting hot and arrived in less than 2 minutes to our table. My wife had not even started eating her starter when the mains arrived thrown onto the table by an extremely rude oriental waiter. I could go on and on about how bad this place was but they obviously know it and rely on the passing tourist trade on the very busy Freidrichstrasse. The only good point was that a table of 6 Berliners on seeing how we were treated told the waiter in English that they would be going to a kebab shop rather than eat in a restaurant that treated people so rudely! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!, thus place is utter garbage. There are so many great places to eat in Berlin, so avoid this place like the plague people i implore you!
