Aloha was one of the best hostels that we stayed in during our 3 month trip. The staff are very helpful and trusting. The bathrooms are super clean and always available. The bedrooms are clean, warm and roomy. There are lockers and most beds have lamps. The breakfast was much better than most hostels and there is also 1 euro beer available from the staff. Also, there are 4 computer available with free wifi and a big lounge room where movies are usually playing every night. Smokers can go out to the balcony and it is located near the subway at Rosa Luxemburg Platz, which is one station away from Alexanderplatz. I would highly recommend this hostel, even for solo female travelers.

Loved this place.. great staff, homely atmosphere, good rooms with non-squeeky beds, nice bathrooms and showers, great location in the city (near the subway at rosa luxemburg platz, which is just one station away from Alexanderplatz, and also near Tacheles).

Top notch place: it's pretty small so there is no rush to get to bathrooms etc.

The best thing is the staff. There is a live-in guy running the place called Marcello, and probably was the best person we have ever met who works in hotels/hostels. Helped us out heaps, and showed us heaps of places and told us about events prety much every day (or more). Thanks Marcello. Champion.

The rooms were pretty good, there were 4, none having more than 8 or 10 beds. Some had shelves next to the bunk, but not all. Clean and new though. Bathrooms were fine. Best shower heads ever. Breakfast was basic but ample, and the rate was sooooper cheap. Good spot too, only one Metro stop from Alexanderplatz, which is a central transport hub.

A really good thing is that there were 3 pretty much brand new laptops hooked up to the internet in the kitchen, and because there are only 4 rooms, it meant that one computer was always free, at least.

Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Hostel Aloha located up many flights of stairs is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. This isn't the sort of place where they take your passport number at a front desk, it is just 2 apartments tastefully converted into a minimalistic, light and airy hostel accommodation. The whole place is really clean including the numerous large bathrooms. The large dormitories host 8 comfortably and there is no shortage of space for bags etc. There's also a common room and balcony. There are 4 computers free to use throughout and free wifi. This hostel is amazingly liberal and located on the fringe of the coolest neighbourhood in Berlin and very close to the metro. I'd go back in a hearbeat... There is basically a 24 hour staff presence in the common room should you need a cold beer for €1 - but they don't feel like staff at all, just chilled individuals. This place is highly recommended for the open minded

Amongst the hostels I have stayed in Europe, this one is probably the best. The hostel itself is completely different than the building itself. It is clean, warm, and friendly. I had the best sleep over there, met cool people, and had good sanitary facilities. The hosts Maria and Marcelo were really cool and welcoming. It makes you feel like at home. For the price that you will pay for this place, you will get the maximum out of it, and it is cheaper than a lot of places.

Aloha is by far the best hostel I've been in. The owners are travelers themselves and they know exactly what young travelers need. Hospitality is enormous, and the atmosphere is wonderful and very friendly!
Aloha is very near to all kinds of transportation, so you can explore the city accordingly.
