“the perfect queen”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

There isn't a long queue in front of it as in front of the Pergamon Museum but it's also worth visiting. The Nefertiti is just perfect and it's a must-see! As is the golden hat and many others exhibits.

“Prepare to spend a couple of hours!”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

The Neues museum had so many different exhibitions and artifacts to see and you could easily spend half a day there if you really wanted to see everything. Their "crown jewel" is the bust of queen Nefertiti. They had great free audio guides which are necessary if you don't speak german since most of the explanations are in German. Some of the bigger artifacts and exhibitions had English explanations but I wouldn't want to miss the smaller ones. Not everything is explained on the audio guides but still a lot.
They had lockers with locks where you could put your bag and jacket and such and the bathroom facilities were alright.
I recommend that you pre-book your visit since the line to get a ticket was very long, at least during summer.
Definitely worth a visit!

“Perfect for lovers of Egyptian History”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

If you grew up watching discovery channel programs about Egypt or reading about it, you will absolutely love seeing some of the items they have on display here. There is a bust of nertiti which is really , a very moving experience. I highly recommend this and would gladly do the museum again.

“Archaeological museum”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

It's a big beautiful archaeological museum with Greek, Roman and Egyptian discoveries. Of course there is something German.

“5 days in Berlin”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

Part of the Neue Museum is the Egyptian Museum.
The most famous piece is probably the bust of
Queen Nefertiti, which has a room all by herself.
No photos or film of course and they have enough guards in there to enforce it.
