Many interesting and informative displays of Greek and Roman artefacts but the highlight was the Amarna featuring the everyday life of the contemporaries of Tutankhamen and Nefertite - and, of course, the famous and incredibly beautiful bust-

“Fantastic space, some excellent exhibitions”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

If you're in Berlin, the Neue Museum is a very good addition to the itinerary. The building itself is stunning -- full of light and glass and just about perfect for viewing contemporary art. The first time I visited (November 2008, I believe) the Museum was featuring a fantastic exhibition by Joseph Beuys. Really turned me on to his work. Highly recommended addition to the itinerary.

“Great Museum!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Be sure to stop by this museum while in Berlin. It contains many great items to view and experience. Part of a group of museums that you could easily spend 3-4 hours visiting.

“Nefertiti is a must see.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

We bought the three day Museum Pass but still had to pay an additional €4 to see the bust of Nefertiti which was on my 'must do ' list whilst in Berlin. We purchased this at the Pergamon museum which avoided queues so worth doing it this way if you intend to visit more than one over three days. Personally it was worth every penny, the bust is truly spellbinding compared to photos and reproductions, I could have spent the whole day looking at it if the ticket wasn't on a time limit. I'm not sure I would have thought entry to the rest of the museum would feel value for money without this attraction. Facilities ( toilets, cloakroom ) were ok, shop was expensive.

“Why queue?”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

If you want to go to this, avoid the long queues outside it and instead go to the Pergamon museum where you can get a ticket for all the museums there including neues and alters museum with a smaller queue!

Queueing aside the only thing that is worth going for in my opinion is the bust of neffertiti.
