Description: Situated right along the Kudamm, the elegant, and at the same time casual, Restaurant Le Faubourg has the flair of culinary hot spots in Paris. Under the management of Chef de Cuisine Felix Mielke, the interpretation of French cuisine is a dominant theme. Beginning with "Starters to Share", guests can start off their meal together in a simple and unconventional way. The main dishes offer a choice between the traditional method of preparation and each modern interpretation of the meal. The focus here continues to be French cuisine with regional and seasonal products. The seasonally-adapted menu offers a constant variety of dishes for lunch that dovetail with the restaurant's new philosophy. Another highlight is the revised wine selection that complements Felix Mielke's creations. Originating above all from German and French wineries with small family operations.

“French Food?...not here!!!!”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

on 4th Dec., i wanted to make me a present with a nice french rest., and I red many good reviews about it, in the michelin route too.

BAD BAD BAD EXPENSIVE FOOD, WHICH HAD FRENCH NAME, but not at all with french taste!

Only the creme bruelee was ok!

Old atuna, with avocado-creme (NOT GUACAMOLE as they discribed it in the menu!)!

Good tasting lam meat but too small even for a fine rest., but not really pn french style!

NEVER MORE!

Dear losgolosos,

Thank you very much for your detailed Feedback about your visit at the Brasserie Le Faubourg in the beginning of December. It is difficult for us to track the details after over a month.

In general our tuna is a very popular dish. I am sorry that you perceived it not as fresh and that we did not meet your expectations.
The guacamole served with tuna or salmon is prepared after an orginal traditional recipe.

I am pleased to read that you liked the tasting of the lamb. The caree (120g) and the shoulder (60g) ensue the avarge size of a food portion.

The Brasserie Le Faubourg is positioned as a new interpretation of a french brasserie and you will find also classical french dishes like Steak frites, salat nicoise or creme brulee.

Again, thank you for your feedback and the time you have taken to share your impressions with us.

Kindest regards,

Carsten Colmorgen

“Friendly & good food”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Very friendly welcome & knowledgeable staff. We ate a la Carte, which was a little expensive (by Berlin standards), but the meat was excellent and side dishes were imaginative.
Loses a point for its bland standard hotel decor. We will definitely return.

Dear Paulgerard1960,

Thanks very much for your positive review.
I am happy that you enjoyed your evening
in the Brasserie Le Faubourg.

The hotel building and the interieur is all designed
by the famous architect Jan Kleihues. I am sorry that
we did not meet your taste in that point.

We are looking forward to welcome you back
very soon.

“Deserves a Michelin star.”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

I normally steer away from hotel restaurants and seek out other places to eat. I was staying in the Concorde and I'd read the reviews on here so I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed.

The food really is Michelin quality - we went for the 5 course tasting menu which came complete with extra amuse bouche "mini courses" and 5 different matched wines. We paid 64€ each which is a fraction of what you pay for food and wines of this quality elsewhere.

The service was flawless, the staff were helpful and polite and able to talk us through each course and wine in English so we understood all of the various flavours.

La Faubourg deserves to be ranked higher on trip advisor and I hope it's not long until it gets the Michelin star it undoubtably will.

“Exquisite food for very reasonable prices”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

We had dinner here the first night we were in Berlin. We ordered the 5 courses Collection Culinaire. You get 5 courses (and ofcourse amuse-geule and sweets with the coffee), wine included for 64 euro. It is really exquisite: some dishes were really at a Michelin Star-level. Our favourite was the Latte Macchiato of Duck (a layer of foie gras with consommé of duck and a foam of cinnamon on top of it...mmmmm). We loved it in every way. The staff is very friendly as well. Big thumbs up to the whole crew!

“It´s not a brasserie but a very fine gourmet restaurant”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

The word "brasserie" is certainly not accurate to describe this upmarket restaurant. We were amazed by the food, the way some of the dished were prepared in front of our table, and by the complimentary tiny cakes we got when we asked for the bill. Everything was up to our very high standard. Staff was very professional but not overwhelming. It was one of our best dinners ever and we will certainly visit again next time we are in Berlin.
