We spent an evening at Reinstoff in January -13, and it is one of our most memorable dinners ever. We had a 8 course menu with wine, but we got to taste 16 different dishes.
The service was excellent, so sharp and attentive, but never exhausting as you might experience at some high-end restaurants.
The simpicity of the food was astonishing! We had a dish with artichoke prepared in different ways, it was mindblowing. The same with a simple, but perfect potato dish. If you love food and love exeriencing great cooking, I recommend Reinstoff!

The food is very experimental and innovative, best described as the Prada of restaurants. Some dishes work better than others in which case even 5 courses were too many and we could have happily skipped the entre taster tapas. However we all have different palates so this is our experience. We loved the beetroot with liquorice but disliked the pumpkin ice cream with coated pumpkin seeds. The fish main was no bigger than the other courses and was quite unremarkable. Chocolates divine.
Presentation was beautiful in every course.
Whilst this is a top end restaurant with prices to match( starting px 5 courses EU 98 and wine by the bottle starting around the Eu70 price) I felt the restaurant atmosphere did not equal the light and exquisite high end food served.
It didn't help that our impression was that the waiters were cold and robotic and almost disinterested in the food served, creating neither an intimate dining experience or a relaxed fine dining experience. We found the sommelier equally predisposed. Hard to laya finger on exactly where the incongruence lay but it was definitely there.

The restaurant is tucked away in a courtyard and took a few tries to locate it. Once inside, the restaurant was well designed and the service was elegant, smart and yet friendly. We chose the faraway menu and was very pleasantly surprised by the breton prawns dish and also the lota lota dish. The main course - wild boar - was good but not as good as the prawns or lota lota.
Would love to return again... one of my top 3 restaurants in Berlin.

we were 4 adults plus a 12year old child, whose presence was announced in advance. We were delighted with the food specially made for the youngster! The rest of us were slightly troubled by having to choose from the same menue option. Not easy, but it helped that we could swop main courses. The amuse-bouche (4 of them!) were amazing. So were the starters! Interesting and well presented. Just to look at the food was a feast! - and it tasted superb! It was so good that I was hardly able to finish my delicious halibut let alone the dessert. I am not a great friend of Riesling, so I was not too pleased to be limited in my choice, but we found the Spanish White pleasant.
The decor of the room: amazing! Staff: efficient, friendly, helpful!
We dined for 4 hours - even the child lasted well through the time. I think it was because we were led along gently to the next and the next highlight. We were discussing the night afterwards and came to the conclusion that we didn`t go out to dinner but rather were at a performance. Brilliant!!
