Owner description: Drive through Berlin in the official car of the DDR! Squeeze yourself behind the wheel of a Trabant of your choice and putter around the capital. See the most interesting sights and get your very own souvenir Trabant-driver's license! No need to queue: just jump into your very own Trabant and chug away through Berlin. Join your fellow cardboard-comrades in convoy, and see the capital like you've never seen it before. After a short introduction to the mysteries of the four-stroke and manual gearbox, the adventure can begin! Take a trundle back in time, in your much-loved vehicle, over the cobblestones of Berlin. After your second hair-raising corner, you'll have caught the Trabi-fever, and never want to get out again. All good things must come to an end, but don't worry: as a souvenir of this unique experience, we'll give you your very own Trabant driver's License! Tip: Why not follow up your tour with a trip to the Trabi Museum at Trabi World. What's Included: • Technical instruction • Trabi (Trabant) for up to 4 people • Guide at the beginning of the convoy • Live radio commentary in each car • Free miles and gas • Trabi driver's license for every new driver • Third-party and vehicle damage insurance

“Fantastic fun”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We did this tour yesterday and had a great time. Our tour was in only English and the lady tour guide was fantastic. She pointed out things we had previously walked past, but with her explanations we understood a whole lot more. Being in a convoy with all the other trabis was a lot of fun, people on the streets were taking photos and waving. We stopped to get petrol which was an experience. My husband loved driving the trabi.

“The Best Way to See Berlin”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Drive a Trabi thru the streets of Berlin. 4 speed, column shift, communist made car. Couldn't be more fun navigating the oldest and newest streets in the city. Great time to take the camera and take in all the sights. The tour guides couldn't be better. A must do activity in a very interesting city.

“Great fun!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This was so much fun, we squeezed four adults in the car, but you would probably want to get more than one car if you were tall - and I don't think it costs any more as the price is just per adult.
The tour was a great way to see the city and so much fun! The only downside was it was hard to understand our tour guide, he was speaking first in German then in English and by the time he got to the English we had passed whatever it was he was talking about.

“So much fun!!”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I are very into classic & vintage cars and ABSOLUTELY loved the 1-hour safari (we were on the East Side tour) but don't think it really matters which one you take as this is totally about driving the car and not about the sights you see. Don't do this tour for an in depth sightseeing excursion of the city, it only highlights a few icons along the route and the driver is likely to be focused on the road and not on what you're passing. Also, on our tour the guide over the radio was speaking in German, then following with English translation - can be difficult to understand at times. We had already done a walking tour of Berlin and seen many of the sights up close, so we were just able to enjoy the drive. All that being said, the cars are extremely simple to drive and the guide car is very good about stopping to wait if anyone gets stuck at the traffic lights. We had an absolute blast and would recommend it to anyone, so long as you don't expect the tour commentary to be in depth!

“A must!”

What a great ride! A nice way to start your trip in Berlin and find out places you want to check out better. Loved driving the legendary Trabi and the guide was just priceless. If I ever come back I'll do it again!
