Owner description: Drive through Berlin in the official car of the DDR! Squeeze yourself behind the wheel of a Trabant of your choice and putter around the capital. See the most interesting sights and get your very own souvenir Trabant-driver's license! No need to queue: just jump into your very own Trabant and chug away through Berlin. Join your fellow cardboard-comrades in convoy, and see the capital like you've never seen it before. After a short introduction to the mysteries of the four-stroke and manual gearbox, the adventure can begin! Take a trundle back in time, in your much-loved vehicle, over the cobblestones of Berlin. After your second hair-raising corner, you'll have caught the Trabi-fever, and never want to get out again. All good things must come to an end, but don't worry: as a souvenir of this unique experience, we'll give you your very own Trabant driver's License! Tip: Why not follow up your tour with a trip to the Trabi Museum at Trabi World. What's Included: • Technical instruction • Trabi (Trabant) for up to 4 people • Guide at the beginning of the convoy • Live radio commentary in each car • Free miles and gas • Trabi driver's license for every new driver • Third-party and vehicle damage insurance

“Welcome back to the DDR (GDR)!”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

A fantastic tour in the eastern part of Berlin, while driving an old Trabant... What else?!
The guides were funny and always ready to help you when you were getting jammed with the poor old and brutalised Trabi's clutch pedal.
A bit pricey but laughs and entertainment guaranteed!

“Good way to see a lot of Berlin .”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

I took charge of our soft top trabi and got 5 mins tuition on the gear box as it is quirky then we set of on the wild east tour.this was a really fun hour and you can swap drivers half way through as long as they have a drivers licence. The guide is really good going from German to English very quickly so you know what's around the radio is noisy but that's all part of the fun.

“Even with the rain, this tour was fun!”

The cars are well loved by the people of Berlin, who cheer as you drive by. I loved seeing the artwork on the Berlin wall.

“FUN to drive a Trabi. But not ideal to visit Berlin”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

It was certainly fun driving the Trabi in Berlin. As for the guided tour part, I would call it average at best, the cars follow a guide/leader car who speaks to us via a Walkie Talkie system. The sound squality was very poor however and we could barely ever understand what the guide was telling us...

My advice: book the shortest tour so that you drive a real Trabant, but do not expect too much from the actual visit of Berlin

“Go Trabi Go!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We had a go on the Trabi Safari on a recent trip to Berlin. Basically, you get to drive a Trabant in a convoy with the convoy leader providing directions via a walkie-talkie... and what great fun it was! We went on the East Berlin tour and I can thoroughly recommend it. Everyone seeing the safari go past smiles, waves and takes photos. And something that makes people happy, has to be a good thing, right?
