We tried this hotel for one night last week-end. Since we were travelling with our son, we took one of the suites (not possible to put extra bed in the normal rooms). The suite was quite small but sufficient for our needs. One room was bedroom with a very comfortable bed (and I am picky about beds!) and open space bathroom with small bathtub, separate shower, separate toilet and wash basin with lots of space around it plus lots of good toiletries in large dispensers to use during the stay. The other room had sofa and chairs plus a guest toilet and a bar area with espresso machine, minibar (all non alcoholic drinks included in the rate) and welcome fruit basket. TV in both rooms. Only problem with the room was that it was relatively dark. Electronic blinds made it completely dark for sleeping. Very clean.
There is a lounge area in the 7th floor where drinks and food is served for free all day. Excellent breakfasts with buffet plus warm dishes made to order. Perfect scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon, the best I have had, actually. The lounge area has dining tables in one area, comfortable leather chairs next to this and in addition, a business center with computers and a bar area with alcoholic drinks (you serve yourself and write what you take on a note, all very homely).
The staff at reception was really very friendly and helpful.
Location is excellent.
We will be back.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are more quiet. We were in 6th floor and heard no noise at all from the street.

You'd expect a hotel run by Camper to be a bit different and lovely to look at, and you won't be disappointed. Every tiny detail here has been considered. There are beautifully crafted and original touches everywhere. They even supply their own map of Berlin in appropriately muted shades of grey. Cucumber lemonade, his 'n' hers slippers, wingback armchair, free WiFi, large desk with comfy chair ... it's all good. Powerful showers in generous sized wet rooms with a cheeky (half frosted) window out on to the street. Fantastic breakfast and 24hr help-yourself snacks in the top floor restaurant with panoramic view over the rooftops. Staff are great. One negative - there is a smell of drains in the hallways which seeps into the rooms sometimes (I've stayed three times, so not a temporary problem). Still one of my favourite hotels anywhere.

Casa Camper was a good hotel in an awesome neighborhood. The rooms are pretty basic and the bathroom is not perfect, but the neighborhood is very cool (similar to soho in NYC) and the price is quite reasonable. The breakfast had lots of options and is included with your stay. Plus they have food all day (sandwiches, drinks and snacks) for you to take which is a really nice perk.
The front desk is nice, but not familiar at all with restaurants, bars or even certain parts of the city. You cannot rely on them for suggestions, so I would know where you want to eat or visit from your guide book or tripadvisor.

Immaculate, good service, and very modern place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the room very quite. Front desk was helpful and people on 7th floor great. Breakfast very good, eggs cooked to order and everything fresh. As others said, it is a great place to head after sightseeing all day. Within walking distance to Alexanderplaitz. We used public transportation and it was convenient to hotel. Would stay here again.

This hotel should win a red dot design award. They disregarded convention and designed a highly functional and hip hotel room. The bathroom has been split into three areas (shower, WC, large walk-in closet/sink area) and all of them are on the outside of the building with a large window. Closing the shutters provides one with a very dark room--much appreciated. Ergonomically designed throughout. Very comfy bed. Great slippers. Friendly and cool staff. Excellent breakfast and snacks 24 hours on the top floor. Great neighborhood with easy access to sightseeing. I will definitely come back.

The Casa Camper Berlin is great: clean, efficient, hip, contemporary. Perfect for the global nomad / boho type. Although listed as Mitte, it is not a tourist trap...and feels closer to the vibe of Prenzlauer Berg, which is a more mellow neighborhood with boutiques, cafes and restaurants, than the tourist highlights & large hotel chains of Mitte. However, it is very close to the sights. If you walk one direction, it's mellow, non-touristy and hip (think upper Marais). The other way is everything in your guide book!

Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. We were placed on the 1st floor which worried me but it still had good light, a nice outlook and was very quiet.

It's an open floor plan with the bathroom more or less open to the sleeping area...there is a little curtain to separate it. (What is up with hip hotels having having no bathroom privacy?! I find this trend very annoying.) The toilet has it's own room but the sink and main dressing area are open. The stall shower was spacious and looks out to the street with floor to ceiling glass. Yes, the important parts are covered by opaque glass and for the shy, there are outside shutters that you can close. Personally, I like to shower with a view!

But, as mentioned, the best part of this hotel is Tentempie! Meaning "snack", Tentempie is the lounge & self-service snack bar - though there is staff available to assist and keep clean - on the top floor that is included with your room fee (no extra charge) & open around the clock. It's a really great feature that you'll use more than you think...when jet-lagged, after sight-seeing, after you've had one too many, when you want one more (self-service honor bar), for your hungry child, for a business meeting...

This is also where they serve breakfast which was delicious and hearty...full buffet with the usual Euro/German set-up (yogurt, cereals, bread, charcuterie, cheese, lox, fruit, juices, self-service fancy espresso machine - hello, lover!, etc and you can order eggs cooked to order and your taste).

As some have mentioned, this is a hip & stylish hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. But it is not a "luxury" hotel per se so don't expect lots of amenities and concierge service (though they are happy to book your table, recommend restaurants, and direct you where you want to go).

If back in Berlin, we will definitely visit Casa Camper again!
