Stayed two nights here as part of a bus tour group. Was a bit uneasy about this hotel as it is in the former East Berlin. East Berlin can be a bit spartan with all that former soviet architecture. This hotel however was a very pleasant surprise. Very modern and well architected. The rooms are typical in size for Europe and they are richly acouted... nice new modern décor and the very latest conveniences. Wifi is free here and available everywhere. The tram is right across the street and the hotel has a regular shuttle service to Alexanderplatz (Brandenburg gate etc). All in all a very good hotel for your stay in Berlin!

We stayed at the Andel's Berlin for nearly a week in July. What a gorgeous hotel! Food for the restaurants of course is pricey, but the rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. Air condition worked wonderful! Cleaning staff were very pleasant. There was a small fridge in the room used for their mini bar, but we were able to fit a few things of food and drinks in there. The bathroom is huge! Has both a tub and a shower. The toilet was separated by a glass door inside the bathroom. Very cool pink, black, grey and white colors throughout the room. We had a king end, as well as a sofa bed int eh room. There was a coffee table, desk, and a flat screen tv. Tons of storage and closet space! We had a view of the street, but it didn't matter to us. Wifi was included, however, parking was additional. We were just a few minutes away from Alexanderplatz by tram. The reception and tour staff were great, very friendly and helpful with directions. There is a store on the main floor with all sorts of neat things. There is also a free computer station downstairs if you need to access the Internet or print documents should you not have your own to use. Great sky bar on the top floor, with a beautiful view of the city. I would stay hear again in a heartbeat. In fact, out of 13 hotels in our one month stay around Germany, this was by far our favorite!

We stayed at the Andel's for three nights in August as first time Berlin tourists. The hotel "delivered" as reviewed...the rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet. Based on that alone, the hotel had great value. However, the hotel is also in a great location with an easy, inexpensive tram ride (10 minutes) to Alexanderplatz. From there the city's main attractions (and activities, restaurants) are easily accessible. The hotel amenities included a nice gym with good equipment and the top floor bar was super for an evening cocktail and watching Berlin lights. We had breakfasts and one dinner at the hotel which were also very nice and a good alternative for the hungry weary traveller. The hotel staff was english speaking and did a commendable job.

The hotel is close to public transport with tram stops right outside the front door and trains to airports and U & S Bahns less that 100m away. The breakfast was generous and delicous and the dining room was never too crowded to find a table. The room was lovely, with a great shower and a really decent bed. Also a plus is the supermarket and fast food places across the road. If you are looking for fine dining you may need to hop on the tram but for a quick snack this was perfect and affordable. As a bonus the front-of-house staff were really friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early, leave luggage and check out late. Highly recommened

Stayed here with family in november 2012.
We had 2 seperate rooms with the Berlin topless package.

Room was GREAT! Excellent value, great bed, beautiful room, nice bathroom. Just Excellent!

As part of the package we had dinner in the hotel's restaurant (not the bar). Dinner was lovely and tasty. Beverages weren't included so we ended up paying quite a lot for 1 bottle of wine and other beverages.

Bus tour (part of the package) was also pleasent.

We were offered one drink (also part of the package) in the sky bar. But on the ticket was stated it was in the sky cafe?? We decided to go to the sky bar but as the coupon wasn't stating being available for this, we didn't used it. But when arriving in the sky cafe, they told us there wasnt the drink stated on the coupon available and so we should have used in the sky bar. Anyways, we could take another drink with it.

Location isn't bad at all. With the Tram you are in no-time at alexanderplatz.

The package we had is changed (I believe) nowerdays, so be sure to check on this as this review might be outdated.

Stayed here recently and found the hotel very pleasant, decent sized room, with most importantly, comfy beds. Wasn’t entirely sure about the glass toilet cubicle but overall the bathroom was sleek and modern, with a good shower. Hotel was pretty easy to find using the public transport located in close proximity. Also though the hotel was very reasonably priced.

One downside to the hotel, it’s located in East Berlin, in an area which in truth is a bit of a dive, but as long as you don’t mind a bit of travelling locally via taxi/train/tram to slightly more vibrant areas its ok. Personally wouldn’t visit Berlin again as thought it was a bit of a dump, the hotel itself was probably the best part of the trip.

Room Tip: A room with bed is always a must.

It took nearly two hours for the porters to deliver my bag to my room. Every time I rang reception there was no answer. My mini bar was not working and I was told I could order cold drinks from room service. Otherwise the room was fine and the location was fine as well. Trams very easy to get to Alexanderplatz.
