“Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Just returned from a long weekend in Berlin, stayed 4 nights at Andel's hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Modern contemporary hotel with fabulous bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful except for the breakfast waiters who had to be hunted down to get a pot of coffee. The concierge was always able to answer our inquiries. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in Europe with plenty of choice. We ate dinner in Oscars - very good meal. The skybar is the perfect place for a nightcap.
This hotel is perfectly placed for using Berlin's efficient public transport system (tram stop opposite and S station 50m away. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is lovely. The foyer is open and light, there is a computer station with at least 4 iMacs and a printer for use by all guests. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy.
I booked a standard room with breakfast and what a breakfast it was. Basically, don't plan on having lunch because if you take advantage of breakfast you won't need it! Antipasti that included cheese stuffed mushrooms and tomatoes. A large selection of cured meats and smoked salmon, and just as many cheeses. The cooked food included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages (of course) and then there were the waffles, berliners and danishes galore. There's also bircher muesli, fruits and an abundance of yoghurts for the health conscious.By far the highlight of the hotel.
The bar on the top floor also has a spectacular view of Berlin but you're in Berlin! Don't waste your time in a hotel bar! Mind you this isn't necessarily the best hotel to stay in if your after Berlin's famed nightlife as it isn't in a neighbourhood with any nightlife.
If you don't want to take a taxi from the airport or the main station which can cost up to 30euro the hotel is very easily accessed by Berlin's brilliant and user friendly public transport system. There is the Landsberger Allee tram stop directly outside and the train station of the same name is a 5 minute walk. The tram will also take you to Alexander Platz within 12 minutes and Mitte in 15, which is good as there really isn't anything within walking distance of the hotel.
Also, if it's your first time in Berlin, take advantage of one of the many walking tours available. It's a huge city so these tours (many of which are free) not only give you a great history of the city but help you to get your bearings too.

Great business hotel, modern, large rooms and impressive breakfast. A bit outside Berlin's main attractions but public transport or taxis are easily available. Didn't have a chance to check the pool and gym area so no comment on that. Will come back.

Spacious room, modern interior, good food and a fantastic skybar made this the perfect place for a business conference. Not too far away from the city center either and the taxis aren't expensive. Recommended!

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the room, mini spa and the best breakfast ever! Room was so designed that we actually didn't notice that there was a wardrobe with safe, minibar and everything built into the wall until the day we where leaving. :-)
The small spa had three different types of saunas, a resting room, an out door terrace, a bubble pool and some foot bath seats inclusive. Additional treatment was available to a fair cost. We really loved to end each day in the spa, during our stay (thu-sat, June) it was never crowded.

Room Tip: One could hear the Friday Night Club, but it was not loud or bothered us. If you are sensitive, ask...

Got to spend only one night in this hotel , since it was used by our tour group for transit . Location was definitely not central , but somehow strategic , with the train and tram station barely in front of the hotel . There were several shops outside , and a Burger King outlet as well. Lobby was really huge although not looking elegant . There were some colorful displays in the vicinity . I noticed that this hotel was used for meetings and conventions by many companies . Regarding the room , the pathway was quite long, and when I got to see it , the configuration for a triple room set up was quite different and a little uncomfortable. I liked however the huge flat screen TV with several English channels , and the spacious bathroom in which the toilet, bath and tub are separate .There was also a DVD player included just in case you want to watch movies. Airconditioning however was geared towards winter/spring climate so we ended up opening the windows since during this time it was the start of summer , and we did not bother to call engineering for the adjustment. The hotel offers complimentary internet ,which is a big plus , and if you want faster speed , you have to pay a few more euros . Front desk staff are easy to get along with , and somehow helpful , more than willing to give a smile if you pass by them at the lobby . Buffet breakfast was really good, choices are adequate enough , and tastes good. Service provided by the staff was quite attentive. Nice first impressions indeed .

Room Tip: higher floors provide better views

Great hotel. Out of town but with a tram link opposite the hotel to take you into the centre of the city in less than 10 mins it wasn't too inconvenient.

Getting from the smaller airport is easy too. Buy a day ticket for 7 euros at the info desk there and catch the S9 to Landerberger Allee. (It's about a 5mins walk to the train). Takes about 35 mins. The ticket is valid for all public transport and is well worth investing in.

We went with Jet 2 holidays. Breakfast was included in the package and was more than adequate - yogurts, cheeses, smoked salmon, croissants, bacon, eggs, sausage, etc presented buffet style, although they do serve tea and coffee at the table.

Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the "courtyard" and not far from the lift. Lovely bed and a great, quiet night's sleep. Probably best to ask for a room not facing the roads. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room plus a fridge.

There is a lack of storage space if you're staying longer than a night. The hotel's public space looks like an empty shopping mall but leaving that aside, it is a great place to stay.

Do have a frink in the Sky Bar at the top floor of the hotel. Expensive drinks but worth it.
