Last week was my first visit to Berlin so my friend took me to this cute cozy place this is not your average tourist trap. We got a warm welcome from Nicolle and Mille, our lovely hostess and they recommended us the infamous Bavarian specialty: roast pork with dumplings (Schweinbraten mit Krautsalt und Semmelknödeln) and Nuremberg sausage with sauerkraut (Nürnberger Bratwürst´l, Sauerkraut und Kartoffeln). The pork was tender, juicy and well marinated. The sausage was crispy and the best part of all the food came in good portion size. Beer, wine and a variety of beverages were available but I recommend the "Blutwurz". Hey your meal is not completed without trying the "Butwurz"!
Zum Bayernmichel is a true unpretentious gem indeed!
