I spent 6 days traveling around Berlin and couldn't have enjoyed my visit more. The Circus Hotel is located in Rosenthaler Platz which is very centralized in Berlin. The underground and tram stops are right next to the hotel so it is very easy to get onto public transport. If you enjoy walking it is only a 15 minute walk to Hackescher Market, Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island and all of these locations are extremely to find. At reception they have maps and will help you plot out a plan for your day. They will also provide you with a paper that has detailed directions on how to get to the airport when checking out and directions from the airport to the hotel are on their website. The room was extremely clean and had a ceiling fan which I always like to have on when I sleep. There is also rooftop access with an incredible view of the city; you can see TV Tower and the Berlin Cathedral. The surrounding area has a ton of food options, just make sure you have Euros on hand because only a few places will take cards. There is a restaurant/cafe on the ground level called Commongound which has amazing food and coffee although it is a limited menu. I also recommend stopping by the lower level of the Circus Hostel across the street if you are a fan of David Hasselhoff for a surprising treat.

Nice clean spacious rooms. The hotel stands out in the crowd. Not your boring run-of-the-miller place
Very friendly staff. Great location. Loads of cafes. Nightlife all around you.

Alexanderplatz is a stone's throw away. Down the street from the Hipster Haackischer Market.

This is a hotel for city dwellers who thrive on the buzz of the big city. It's not for people who complain about the noise from the next room!

Like the roof sign: Stockport / Reutlingen
I was born in Stockport and grew up in Reutlingen. Hell of a coincidence!
I felt at home straight away.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the street. Gives you a taste of Berlin nightlife.

We've been here four days now. The key to this hotel is the staff - helpful beyond call. Patient and courteous- Alon in particular was helpful as were the late shift guys. Room was on second floor facing the inner courtyard - very quite - the windows open so you have fresh air. Bed was firm although the habit of top sheet and doona combined is too hot at times - a separate top sheet would be ideal. The Common Ground Cafe coffee is excellent as is the 12 Euro breakfast. Fun foyer where you can watch the bikes and Berlin glide by. The Ramon at nearby CoColo ( line up before six) is wonderfully cheap while Lokal featuring souther Getman seasonal fare is great. Come here it's worth it!

The hotel is in the centre within walking or tram distance of all the tourist sites and Tiergarten. It has a quirky interior and we stayed in a well equipped apartment with kitchen and extra loo. The beds, especially the two single day beds could be a bit more comfortable. The apartment was spotless and the staff friendly and helpful. We could store our luggage after check-out time which helped us a lot. The hotel offers breakfast( not included) and has a roof terrace where guests can relax after a long day. There is construction going on at the front of the hotel but it did not bother us in any way.

From the moment you walk into Circus Hotel, the uniqueness of the property stands out. The staff were extremely helpful at check in and answered my questions about various things very well. I picked the lead-in room type and was very happy with the size (and the bathroom was enormous). It is walking distance to public transport and laundrymat if you need it. If you want something quirky and different from the usually sterile look of hotels, this is your hotel!
