Great hotel in a fine location. I searched and searched and we are glad we chose the Circus. The restaurant is great too.
Don't be stupid like us, rent bikes from the Hostel (across the street) and ride around the town, After walking out butts off (shopping for shoes for the girls, UGH) we rented bikes and had a blast hitting the sites and felt very safe.
It was 25.00 Euros from Tegel in a cab, same going to the airport. 4 (or so) Euros for 1/2 day bike rental. You can also go the Freitag store and get bikes for free. Buy a bag while your there, we spent hours picking out bags for the girls, almost as fun as shoe shopping..payback for a week in Normandy for the D-Day anniversary I guess.

We found this hotel thanks to TripAdvisor reviews and we were simply delighted with the choice. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. The room was modern and spacious. Location is perfect with public transit within 10 meters. The restaurant was amazing! We still reminisce about breakfast!

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I would certainly stay here again. It's so easy to get to from the airport, a train then two stops on the U-bahn. The hotel is fantastic value, rooms are clean and comfortable. The organic breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day and there is plenty to enjoy for your €9. Location wise- it's a ten minute walk from alexanderplaz and an enjoyable ten minute walk down to hackescher markt s bahn/museum island etc. there is even a roof top to enjoy a beer and views of Berlin. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant, the food and cocktails were superb.

Room Tip: The double glazing is very good at keeping the street noise out, but request a room facing the courtyard rather than street.

Stayed here with 8 friends for a long weekend in Berlin. The hotel is clean, decent location, and very friendly staff. Beds all came with lockable-cupboards which was useful, and bathrooms/showers were good sizes. The staff were also able to recommend a *fantastic* (free!) walking tour that leaves just outside the hotel - this was the highlight of my trip!

The Circus Hotel is very well located, close to a U-bahn (metro/subway) station and in a walking distance to many points of interest in Berlin. But if you're a bike fan, you can also rent bicicles there and it is quite easy to ride in Berlin.

The staff is very helpful and the hotel's restaurant is really pleasant - the breakfast is really good. If the weather is good, you can have some time at the restaurant's bar - open windows/doors to the street or at the hotel's roof, where they have a small but nice resting area.

The room and bathroom was new, beautiful and clean, and as part of a green policy, the room has no air condition - which was not a problem in May/spring - and amenities (such as soap and shampoo) are available on demand at the lobby.

I had a chance to visit The Circus Hostel just accross the square (Rosenthaler Platz) and the ambiance was also great. It is certainly a good option when visiting Berlin.

When there, take some time to learn about the history of the building.
