“Interesting”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

This was a very interesting place. Hard to believe this was the main way in and out of East Berlin. It's one of the few things left that tell of a time when people were not free to come and go as they please.

Guardian post with the man in American soldiers uniform, holding flags and acting as guard. They make the history alive. Interesting

“Just as it was”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Turned the corner after walking 2+ miles from the last bit of the wall standing. I was not let down. Looks awesome with the American Sector sign and guard house still up. Couple Berliners dressed in uniform holding flags and acting as guards. Get your passport stamped with official east and west entrance stamps (for a fee). The I love Berlin store was the cheapest in the city here... Buy your bit of the wall and move on up the road to the next attraction

“Another must do in Berlin. Amazing history”
Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

When you enter you you will straight away see walls and walls of written information, there is no shortage of this here. Be prepared to read! But amungst the reading and interesting stories and props. Just to take a step back and realize the important of the location of the museums this is where it all happened the history on the walls happened where you will be standing, this is what makes this place special. Enjoy!

“A must.”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

This is a good photo opportunity and especially if you know someone that have been here while the checkpoint was active. (Stop 7 on the city circle tour)Good informative wall information around the area and for a few € you can get a stamp in your passport.

You can avoid queue by vissing in the afternoon (but no stamp option then).
