“Great location and a lovely room”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

We just came back two days ago from a three night stay in this nice hotel.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood 2-3 minutes' walk from the U2 underground that can take you to all the sites in just a few minutes. it is pretty easy to get to the hotel from the airport with a fast train to Alexander platz and a change to U2 a few more station to the hotel, I don't think it took more the 30 -35 minutes. We bought a three days pass to the public transportation (26.5 Euros per person) which was very useful.
We found the room to be nicely decorated and quite spacious which was a pleasant surprise after reading some reviews saying the room is very small. The shower was nice as well. The best thing about this hotel - it is spotless! The shower was very clean and so was the room. There is only soap/shampoo and hand cream in the shower, but we didn't need more. There's also hair drier.
If you need a coffee/tee kit you can have one in the front desk with no extra charge.
Our room was on the seventh floor and turned to a building and not to the street (we ordered a comfort room) and it was very quiet. We slept there very well. We asked for a double bed (and not two twins) and got one but got two single blankets which also didn't bother us.
There is Wi-fi in the room.
There is a locker room in the lowest floor where you can put you bags and suitcases (you need to deposit one euro to get the key for the locker) it was very comfortable as our flight was very late at night.
The breakfast was not included in the hotel price - it costs 9 Euros per person and I think it's really worth it. There is a wide selection of cheese, sausages, buns, yogurt, jams, bacon, eggs and more. I absolutely loved it.
I didn't find the staff to be too welcoming, nice or helpful; they answered our questioned but didn't seem to enjoy it… We didn't need too much from them so it was fine by us it.
I will definitely enjoy visiting this hotel again when visiting Berlin.

Room Tip: room that turns to the other building and not to the street because there is a constraction site in...

I choose this hotel for it's close location to the U-Bahn station. My room was small but functional and the wi-fi was wonderful. I was in the second part of the building over looking the construction site which wasn't too noisy so it was okay. My one complaint was that the air-conditioning was a complete failure. Although it was quite cool outside my room was boiling. Even having the air-con setting on 10 degrees and on the cool setting it was so bad. I went down to reception to complain and the receptionist told me there was nothing she could do (in a very uncaring tone) as it determined on the degrees outside. A self determining air-conditioning unit? How fascinating....

After a month touring Europe staying in a variety of 4 and a few 5 star hotels we stayed here for five nights and realised that this hotel was just the right level for us. Great position. Close to the tube, restaurants, shops, the canal, everything is nearby without all the problems of being right in the city. The room was ideal for two. Plenty of room for bags. A sensible bathroom with a great shower, fluffy towels, and a warmer to dry undies. Everything was spotlessly clean too. Breakfasts were brilliant. You could buy a drink or a bottle of wine next to the reception area. The staff were all extraordinarily good. It inspired us to stay longer in Berlin than we had planned and also book another Best Western in Brussels which was also excellent. This hotel was really special. Highly recommended.

we think it is an ecellent hotel for tourists. the location is perfect. quiet street. 3 minute from the u2 station that conect you to all attractive places. you can walk to the musuems island. the room was spacious and clean. we recommned staying on 1 floor. the elevator is busy and slow, from first floor you can use the stairs. they have 4 computers free usingת, but the surfing is slow. free wi.fi. in the room.

We generally visit Berlin for ITB The World Leading Travel Show BerlinThis in every March for the last 5 years and we always stay in this hotel.

Location

The hotel has a great location. Spittelmarkt U-Barn is few minutes walk around the corner. The best thing about this hotel is the location. So, you can easily get to Alexanderplatz and other attractions. The neighborhood is also quiet.

Eating Facilities

There is a fantastic tapas bar across the hotel. There is supermarket nearby and small patisseria and Turkish Kebaps.

Staff

Staffs are great,helpful and informative.

WI-FI

Free WIFI is helpful for all travellers

Rooms

The rooms are always warm and hot water in winter time. The rooms are very clean, the beds and pillows very comfortable.

Breakfast

The breakfast is the best and so many kinds such a vast selection of delicious fresh food and drinks. Kitchen chief is great. ( Her name is Elmas )

Shuttle Services

The hotels organize a free shuttle services during ITB event that helps a lot.

Recommendation

W suggest you to stay here and we are sure that you will be very happy with all the service and location too! and we will continue to stay in this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was close to a train station. It was 4 stops from Potsdam Platz and 4 stops from Alexander Platz. You can see the TV tower from the hotel.

There isn't much near the hotel as far as stores/etc however there is a bakery right outside the hotel. Their variety isn't as big as I am use to however it worked for the morning I stopped by there.

Breakfast in the hotel is overpriced but worth it if you decide against going out getting food some where.

The hotel is just around the corner of Spittelmarkt underground station. Rooms are new and clean. The staff was not very helpful in helping to find a restaurant. Overall this hotel offers a good quality/price ratio.
