Cheap , clean and good shower. Breakfast alright with choises. Hard to find a more central place to stay in at that price with that standard.
You can walk to many interesting museums and good resaurants. Rosenthaler Platz was very nice with a lot of places having drinks and dinnner.

Let me start by saying that Mikon Eastgate is not for those looking for 4-star service or even a decent hotel restaurant. This is a budget-priced hotel, and you get exactly what you pay for. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious, but not expertly decorated. The beds are comfy but small, and the shower is stand-up only. Excellent choice for budget travelers who (like me) are basically just looking for a safe place to crash and shower in between their urban adventures.

The hotel is not in its own building and shares an entrance with other tenants in the building. This is not really a problem, unless you're the type who is extremely concerned with his or her perception of his or her own safety. In other words, the hotel may look a little shady but is perfectly safe.

Very close to museums and many key government buildings, and just a short hike (currently through some construction) from Berlin's main rail station. The hike to the other main attractions (Reichstag, Brandenburg gate, Friederichstrasse, etc.) are somewhat far away by foot, but easily accessible by U-Bahn.

The hotel is close to Naturkundemuseum and you can reach it by U-Bahn, tram or buses. Hauptbahnhof is about 15 minute walk from the hotel and also Friedrichstr. station. In streets nearby one can find many restaurants and cafes. The hotel is situated in the 4th and 5th floor and the room was very quiet. Our room wasn't big and we missed a table/desk and one more chair. The room and bathroom, with a shower, were clean. The hotel didn't have safety boxes. The service was good, if you had any requests they were done very quickly. Breakfast was served in a special room near a terrace where one can have breakfast in summer. The breakfast was very good with a rich selection of drinks, bread, cheeses, ham etc.
It was a good price for the accomodation. The best thing was the breakfast and the lokation of the hotel which was central.

Spacious rooms, clean and meets basic needs. It was about a 15 minute walk to attractions, shopping, and to many restaurants and cafes. Hotel offers free wifi and a decent breakfast.

Although rooms are clean, the building is nothing special, hall carpeting stained, and looks a bit dated. Interesting layout, as the hotel building is shared with offices, and used for other purposes. However the shared space and layout was never a problem, just different. Other than a couple cafes, there was not much around the hotel, so you might want to venture out to find more options.

Our experience was a good one overall.

This hotel is tucked away up on the fifth floor of a building you might not even realize was a hotel!
It's a great location, a two minute walk from the Naturekundemesuem underground stop and a fifteen minute walk from Friedrichstraße one of the main stations.

The hotel whilst not luxurious was faultlessly clean and very comfortable.
Our double room (two large singles side by side) was very spacious and had a great view.
the bedding and towels were clean and plentiful! Our bathroom had a powerful shower and again was super clean. It was also very quiet with no traffic noise and no disturbance from neighbouring rooms.

The breakfast was very good, a great selection of hot drinks, juices, cerials, yoghurts, fruits,
breads and cakes. Cheeses and cold meats along with some hot offerings of sausage meat and scrambled eggs. There was plenty of everything and served until 10am.
The breakfast room has a lovely little terrace off it so on nice mornings you can enjoy a coffee on the 5th floor looking out towards the tv tower.

From the hotel we easily walked to the tv tower, museum island, the reichstag and brandenburg gate. The neighbourhood felt friendly and safe and was a ten minute walk from bars and restaurants.

For the price this hotel was super - be aware there are no safety deposit boxes but other than that I can't fault it, enjoy!

Reasonable price, very clean and quite hotel. Huge rooms, clean sheets and towels. Reception open 24 hours.
Doesn't look like a real hotel, so they only own two stages in the whole building. Although, we didn't have any problem with this.
Maybe the only complain, is that's a bit difficult to find the addres for the first time. The street changes his name along his way (something usual in Berlin as I could see). Hessischestrabe is very near the naturkundemuseum, so I hardly recommend you to get out at this Ubahn station (U6) or tram (M6) and arrive through Invalidenstrabe. The hotel is quite near Hauptbanhoff train station too, so it's easy to arrive/go to the airport.
We didn't book the breakfast, so I can't tell how it is. A latte machiato and a large sandwich in any cafe near the hotel costs more or less 6€, and you can find a cheap supermarket at Chausseestrabe.
