Went there to eat dinner. Lovely place with interesting decoration. We ate Wienerschnitzel, Flammkuchen with bacon (speck) and Schweinebraten and they all were very good! Would recommend this place when you want to eat real German food..

Second visit to Joseph Roth Diele and was not disappointed. Service faultless, all the food was fantastic, very warming, good entertainment on and great with the kids. Not a negative thing to say.

A very calm bookish restaurant/cafe full of photos and memorabilia. It pays homage to the inter-war jewish writer who apparently lived next door. It is a very pretty wood panelled room serving simple and very cheap food. We had the meat loaf special €4.50 with peas, mash and gravy. You don't get rushed, everyone is nice, what's not to like...

We came there just by coincidence as restaurant we picked up for lunch was closed. The inferior is very original, restaurant itself small and very crowded. But this creates lively atmosphere of this place. Small tables, close to each other, wooden walls.

The had only daily selection of dishes, where half of it was pork wienerschitzel. But this were really good. There were some salads and side dishes as well. We also tried home made apple juice and local beer!

So will definitely be back deliberately there, when passing by this neighborhood ! Be careful, this is cash only business ;-)

Lovely restanrant which has maintained its identity. Located near of some of the (former) publishing houses it has a slightly intellectual flavour with yummy home-made traditional German food.
