....Robert McCracken really knows his German history. What's more, he shares his passionate feelings for Berlin. Considering he is leading tours day in, day out, this is pretty impressive.

As an ex history teacher, who taught European history for many years, I didn't hear much that was new but I did know that what he told us was correct. His attempts at making the group appreciate the Memorial to the Murdered Jews were heart-felt and thought-provoking. Recommended!

A brilliant introduction into the history and sights of Berlin. Rob M, our tour guide brought such enthusiasm to the tour which made it really interesting and worthwhile. There wasn't a boring moment within the 3 hours- we didn't want to leave! Rob M was very approachable to ask questions and clearly very passionate and educated about the city.

We did the free tour on the Satutday which was definitely worth doing.. Rob W was a very good guide and very easy to hear and understand. The next day we visited the concentration camp with Amy. M and we honsetly couldn't have asked for more from a guide! She even made sure everyone knew how to get home! You've made our weekend in Berlin a very interesting and informative one. Thank you Rob and Amy xx

Came across Sandeman's tours by chance, and so glad we did. On the first day of our long weekend in Berlin, we did the free tour. Excellent, well informed and passionate tour, lasting almost 3 hours, with George (Missouri-born, but 7 years working in Berlin) explaining the history of the city, from 20th century impact of war and division, and reunification changes. The free tour content varies, depending on the guide, but I suspect is always a great way to start your visit to Berlin.

We then prepaid for a Sunday tour of Alternative Berlin. Our wonderful Welsh guide Sophie exhibited a real enthusiasm for the alternative culture that developed in Berlin in the post War era, and continues to this day. Her well researched and delivered tour brought to life the street art that many would walk simply walk passed. We explored areas I would never have considered, and certainly would not have discovered on a short city break.

Thanks to George and Sophie, I want to come again and again to Berlin.

This tour was great. Stephen, our guide was extremely knowledgable and engaging throughout. I would highly recommend both Stephen and this particular company, as they have never disappointed. It was a great way to spend my first afternoon in Berlin.
