This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at the Intercontintental from which it was a ten minute walk. It is best described as modern german.

It is smart but relaxed with a wonderful menu covering everything from Quail and Venison to Asparagus and fish dishes. The service was friendly and impeccable.

Cant recommend it enough.

Visited on a Friday night, busy but not crowded. Each had three courses with the recommended wines for a total of €151 plus tip. Imaginative food, beautifully presented. We were staying at the Intercontinental which is a ten minute walk away.

We tried Lochner because was on the 6th place in tripadvisor top restaurants - a place that it doesn't deserve.

Even if we had a reservation, the restaurant was half full so were no problems from this point of view. The service was very good, and the food was good.

We tried a la carte menu because we had eaten with 4 hours earlier, but the portions were not very big.

So, even if also the service and the food were good, i couldn't say that is a top restaurant.

I pre booked this restaurant after reading the reviews on here. Well - we were disappointed with the whole experience. As we walked in we knew it was a mistake - we were the youngest ones there - everyone was older couple. The wine was ok, the service was ok, the food was ok. The main course was fish with turnip and not special at all - not worth the money.
The entertainment came with a couple who had an unexpected guest at their table who attempted to throw a glass of wine over the female - this made the evening fun for us but the food certainly didn't. Not worth it - we went to Rutz the next evening and it was sublime.
