Older hotel at intersection of three main streets, is still quiet. Rooms are large and plush, even a little cluttered, but very comfortable. Desk was always well staffed and polite, and all spoke English. Breakfast is 10 euro extra per person, and is quite lavish, and starts at 6:30.

This is a good place to stay if you are flying out of Frankfurt, as it is only around 400 meters from train station. There are many connections direct to this airport, taking less than 90 minutes. Hotel is close to the Residenz and city center, too.

Their website is not so good at processing information, particularly in English. Curiously, one of the desk clerks was typing something on a typewriter when we arrived! While not on the cutting edge of technology, these folks can take care of you.

Room Tip: Go offsite, or call them--their website is weak.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were ok, nothing to write home about, but were clean, comfortable. I would base staying here upon the rate compared to other hotels in town. Service wise, the staff working the breakfast were warm, friendly, a perfect way to start your day. And the breakfast was pretty good too. The reception staff were ok, just don't ask too many questions because they're busy.

Stayed here for 4 nights- the staff was so helpful in giving directions, choosing sites and restaurants that were reasonable. They lent us an umbrella which we were able to take to our next destination and return after a few days. They allowed us to leave our luggage while we went to another destination and came back 2 nights later. The location was great, lots of restaurants nearby and walking distance to many sites and the Christmas market. Would definitely stay again.

We checked in early and the only room available was with twin beds instead of a double. Or we could wait an hour or two. But when we saw the room, 414. We immediately took it. At 80 Euros a night it was a bargain. It even had a its own roof top patio, which wasn't much good in the dead of winter, but would have been wonderful other times of year. However, then the room is probably much more expensive. We did the Christmas markets and ate at the wonderful Juliusspital Weinstuben across the street.
