“Best Restaurant in Wü!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

I lived many years in Würzburg and this is (if you love italian food) the best you can find so far. The Pizzas are so large, you always got to order half a one because you fill up after 4 pieces. Also love the Pasta dishes and Salads! If you also want to have a few drinks in the night or late evening, they always got happy hour here so the cocktails are also cheap, big, and very good (fave:Touchdown!!) It's always busy though, so if you want to make sure you've got a table and don't want to wait you should do a reservation. The Stuff is always friendly and nice, even on very busy days. If you visit Würzburg, or live there and never went - you should really go. Also very nice few to the River Main and the Festung Marienberg! :)

“Name changed to L'Canda”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

The pizzas are huge and have tasted great in my last two visits. Cocktails are also cheap during their happy hours. Te name of this restaurant has changed to L'Canda since there was already another restaurant or pizzeria with the name L'Osteria.

“Popular place with nice view”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

This place is very popular and you can't make a reservation. Many tables so no problem. You just might have to wait for 10 minutes while taking a drink at the bar. They serve gigantic crispy pizzas and other stuff too. Friendly young waiters. During summer it's very nice to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river Main.

“Great dinner stop for excited travelers at the start of the Romantic Road!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

I never expected that my family's first dinner on our journey down the Romantic Road would be Italian food, specifically pizza, but when we wandered past Locanda last week, my kids all starving, we decided to stop! What a great decision! We had wonderful salads to start and cold beers, followed by huge pizzas by European standards and nice pasta dishes. Being American expats in the Netherlands, we have adjusted to plate size pizzas, so with our family of five we of course assumed that 2 pizzas would fill up the kids while mom and dad ordered pasta. What we got were two pizzas that were as large as a large pizza from Domino's in the states. Needless to say, we took some pizza with us when we left! In the end, everyone was happy and this dinner for 5 didn't cost us a fortune as many of our other dinners out have since we arrived. If you find yourself in the town of Wurzburg with a couple of children in tow, definitely check out this restaurant. Just remember that a single pizza can easily feed a family of 4, especially if two of the 4 are under the age of 6!

“Fantastic view, excellent pizza, good prices”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Well, I guess that all people have to share their experiences in order to give a good idea of a place but I write this review because I read some terrible posts compare to my experience.
I think that by far L'Osteria have the best view in Würzburg. We sat outside, late July and the view was just superb! Overlooking the river, view to the castle and part of the city and the vineyards in the surrounding hills. Astonishing!
About food. Place was packed with people, yes that can turn to bad if you wait to be sitted but we choose an hour of the day that we managed to find a table quite quick. Selection was very good, pizza was excellent, prices reasonable and serive satisfactory for the number of the customers. We had a pizza and because we couldnät decide what toppings to add (mushrooms or ham) the waitress proposed us to have half with mushrooms and half with ham. Is a luxury that not many pizzerias follows. Also the pasta was very good and I have to admit that from all our trip, 6 days biking in the Romantische Strasse, this restaurant was just top.
