A must see if you are in the area! This intersection is so iconic for the area and full of beauty. an obvious must for a photo.

Plönlein is one of the most photographed location in the Rothenburg. It is the narrow Fachwerk house with a fountain at front of it, guarded by Siebersturm (left) and Koboltor (right). Fountain provided water for the citizens at middle ages. The word Plönlein is believed to come from Latin "planum", meaning a flat place (square).
Entire area is very picturesque.

You can find this place easily by following most tourists who then stop to take a picture. That gets very hard in direct proportion to the number of tourists around - us of course included . It embodies Germany for many - old gate in the background, cobblestone streets, narrow lanes and old houses.
