The room itself was average, not the most modern, and you can smell food from the restaurant at times. If I remember correctly, there's free wifi but it was slow.
It was worth the money though, and the restaurant was very good. Good authentic food at reasonable prices. Very friendly servers. Breakfast was very good and included with the room, and the breakfast room was unforgettable. We couldn't find parking next to the hotel, but the receptionist informed us that we could park in the city centre (within walking distance to the hotel) and paid 4 Euro for the whole day. So we did.

Spent 1 night here in the Family Apartment room. The room itself was very nice and had a great view of one of the gate towers. The staff were very friendly and we were checked in very quickly. Everything was comfortable and we were just left to enjoy this amazing town!

Stayed at Klosterstuble 3 nights with my father in early summer and wished we had at least one more day here. This is a delightful old-but-restored building, lacking nothing in the comfort department. Our room had a double bed and a single in one area, and then in another little room, had a table and another single bed--ideal for families traveling with kids (or adults traveling with their parent who snores). Decor is typical for Bavaria and Tyrol.

The food downstairs is as good as there is in town (and as good as we had on this trip). Staff were always helpful and friendly. The weather was _terrible_ (rainy and cold the whole stay-- in late May, the high one day was 42ºF)--but Rothenburg's charms are impervious to such deterrents. We will be back, and when we are, we'll stay here. I'd add this to Hotel Am Dom in Salzburg and Staubbach in Lauterbrunnen, Switz as our Best Overall Experience in Europe.

Room Tip: No elevator here.

My wife and I stayed here in early June 2013. The location is perfect as noted in almost every review. Rothenburg is an easy town to walk, and you really feel like you've stepped back in time. Be sure to do the Night Watchman's tour, it is well worth it, lasts about an hour and includes a lot of history. We found the b&b very comfortable. We arrived by train, and it is an easy taxi ride from the train station. Erika will gladly arrange a taxi pick up for your return trip to the train station. I can't imagine a more quaint town in Germany, Cochem is really nice but doesn't have the medieval charm of Rothenburg. We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Klosterstueble.

Our stay here was special. The people are so warm and friendly, the food and drink were superb, and the location was close to everything with just a short walk to the main square. Our room was comfortable and loaded with character. The Klosterstueble was truly a unique experience for us and we loved it. We preferred it to the luxury hotels we stayed at during our trip.

Room Tip: Bring your own washcloths. Only one luxury hotel provided them during our travels in Germany.

Beautiful and charming hotel in a very central area of Rothenburg. We really enjoyed our time in the town and our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was awesome, with very good coffee. Erika, who greeted us and got us checked in was very helpful and spoke excellent English.
