The place is really beautiful with an outdoor terrace facing the St Jakobs church.
BUT, it took 10 mins to bringing the menu to my table and others 40 mins to arrive my food (thats why I asked a simple crepe and ravioli with aspargus.
The crepe was average but the ravioli was really really good!
With such a slow service I would NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant. (For me, its all about the service)

Our family recently visited in Rothenburg and ate at this restaurant on our initial evening. The service was very slow as our waitress disappeared frequently for long stretches of time. The salmon with asparagus was great as was the game plate and the sirloin. Two of my children ordered the schnitzel, and both were burnt, but at least they had the decency to leave it burned side down when plating the meal. We won't likely return.

It's a good spot for a leisurely lunch on the terrace. Service is fine and the food is fine too. Nothing special but worth a visit if you're in that area.

Great place to savour the regional cuisine at a leisurely pace. Two of us enjoyed the featured sausage trio with sauerkraut and potatoes, which was quite delicious. Two chose the pork shoulder which was plentiful and tasty, but should have been more tender. After munching a child sized flammekuchen, the five year old was whisked away by the charming Italian waiter to choose an ice cream. She was also presented with colouring pencils and pictures as a distraction from the boring adult conversations. The prices were reasonable, in spite of this being a totally tourist town, and I would recommend that you seek out this delightful restaurant.

We stopped here for a late lunch...the restaurant was recommended by the owner of a local shop. We sat outside (gorgeous church and buildings surround the garden area!) and loved the atmosphere. Good wine and awesome desserts (we followed our waiter's recommendations). Our waiter was friendly and helpful...excellent service! A wonderful afternoon!
