Great position only short walk from train station and from the old town. Above a cafe, beautiful smells of kitchen arose-snee balls an absolute treat here. Room was clean and spacious. Included breakfast satisfying.

After entering the eastern Gate of the city ,at the first corner on the right, there is a pastry shop, with rooms to let on the upper floors. There is a gratis open private parking .We stayed
in a double room & bathroom on the 1st floor [no elevator]. The room was good with all the basics, clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast had a small but basic buffet. The owners were nice. For 74 euro ,with my car being parked below, and at 300mt from the Marktplatz, I was happy. Our main target was to walk around the beautiful city and its wall, and to have an easy to find comfortable accommodation.

Stayed with my family of 5 for 3 nights while touring southern Germany. Was a little apprehensive after reading the "bed bug" review. However, our experience was the exact opposite. Sure, it's an old inn and the decor is dated...mid 1970's. We stayed in a very roomy top floor apartment. Two bedrooms. The master with a king bed faced the very charming street. A second bedroom had two twin beds. There was a sofa bed in the living room. The separate kitchen had a full size refrigerator where we stored our snacks and drinks. Bathroom had a narrow shower, a bathtub and two sinks. The toilet was in a separate water closet across the hall. Everything was very clean. It was also centrally located within the city walls and just a 5 minute walk from the center platz. Parking was provided free of charge. The European style breakfast buffet (rolls, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and cereal) was more than adequate. Mr. & Mrs. Frei (the proprietors), although a bit shy at first, were really very sweet and accommodating. Our rate was about 125 euros/night...which I thought was very reasonable for that area I'm sure there are nicer, more romantic (and more expensive) places to stay in Rothenburg, and had I been alone with my husband would probably have preferred. However, with 3 teenagers in tow, for the price, this place was great. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed in the family room with parents and sister. My sister and I both got severe bed bugs. Mine were so bad I had to go to an emergency doctor. Do NOT stay here!! In addition to bed bugs, the bathrooms were very outdated, no shower, only a tub...

It's centrally located for the old part of the town, so a plus there. You don't realise you're at the hotel as although there is a hotel sign above, below is a shop/cafe and you have to ask at the cake counter where the hotel is. The reception stand is behind that. The room was clean, but tiny and faced out on to what proved to be a busy and noisy street. at the side. Very little space for putting anything, but O.K.. for one night. The breakfast was good, albeit minimal for a continental breakfast..

Room Tip: Not one facing the side road.
