Beautiful, restored hotel with welcoming,friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful location, quiet for sleeping but still close to everything. Food was awesome and reasonable prices, can't wait to visit again.

Words probably fail to express how amazing this exceptional boutique hotel is... But let’s start with its people - they have a unique flair in their demeanor: very attentive yet never intrusive; very professional but equally warm; every engagement is just perfect, they just have a way of making you feel it’s all about you!
The decor is of austere elegance, they’ve managed to preserve the charm of this beautiful, 800+ year old building and fitted it with all modern comforts. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed, with an included mini-bar featuring local red and white wine, a large beer, etc. Breakfast is prepared on demand, delicious!
Ulrike, Melanie, the gentleman serving breakfast - you all are exceptional, in a league of your own. Nobody should miss an opportunity to come to this beautiful medieval city, but staying at the Hernscholessen just takes the experience to another level. Many many thanks to you!

We enjoyed our stay here quite a bit. Ulrike seems to have a PhD in hospitality and was very pleasant and professional. We stayed in a room with a street view of the church and it was very comforting and had all of the amenities we needed. The floorboards squeak a bit, but that feels like part of the charm. The bed was comfortable, the location perfect and the staff was top notch. Would recommend to anyone!
